Emergency Notification System - Blackboard Connect

What is Blackboard Connect?
BBC is a phone and text emergency notification system that the City of Kennedale uses to notify residents and businesses of emergency or critical situations. These types of situation include:
  • Weather emergencies
  • Water or utility ruptures or interruptions
  • Road damage
  • Other critical situations
The system is 'opt-out,' meaning that all landlines within the city are automatically in the database, and residents can enter, change, or delete their information from the system at any time visiting Blackboard Connect Setup, or by selecting the 'Emergency Alerts' icon on the column to the left.

As landline use decreases, we strongly encourage all residents to add their cell phone information to their profile to ensure that important emergency information is received in a timely manner.

Businesses within the city are also encouraged to update their information to increase protection of employees who may not otherwise be aware of local emergencies.
