Adopt-a-Spot Program

What is it?
Developed by the Keep Kennedale Beautiful Commission, Adopt-a-Spot promotes community pride by asking residents to commit to keep a certain area free of litter for at least one year (or longer, if you wish). The program is free and open to:
  • Residents
  • Families
  • Organizations (e.g. clubs, HOAs, student groups, churches, etc.)
  • Businesses
Please note that all Adopt-A-Spot requests are subject to approval and KKB reserves the right to prohibit a person and/or group’s participation in the program. Once approved, sign changes will only be allowed if the spot is adopted by a new person or group.

Is there a list of available spots?
You are free to choose any location of any size that is within the city limits and not currently adopted. Your “spot” will be identified with an Adopt-a-Spot sign bearing the name of your choosing. Preference will be given to those places that appear neglected, but some suggestions include:
  • Vacant lots
  • Medians, rights-of-way, and roundabouts
  • City of Kennedale parks
