Tree Lighting Invite

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Please join us in TownCenter (405 Municipal Drive) on Tuesday, December 3, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., as we kick off the holiday season by lighting our beautiful, live tree. Sing along to carols and enjoy holiday treats courtesy of generous local businesses, churches, organizations, and clubs while we anxiously await the arrival of Santa Claus at 6:00 p.m.!

Santa is in Search of Treats-n-Sweets Elves

If you're interested in hosting a booth, performing, or helping in any way, please fill out this form or email City Secretary Leslie Galloway or call 817-985-2104.

If your organization would like to hand out treats for Santa, we will provide one table and two chairs for you to set up a booth. You’re encouraged to decorate your booth, set up a game or craft, or dress up. The more festive, the better! Please let us know if you’ll need electricity or have any special requests.

Santa-approved treats include: cookies, hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee, candy, Rice Krispies treats, cupcakes, popcorn, chocolate-covered pretzels, muddy buddies/puppy chow/reindeer food, Chex mix, fudge, brownies … or whatever your favorite treat might be! Homemade or store-bought are both welcome! We ask that your booth be ready to receive guests by 5:15 p.m. This is a well-attended event. Please plan to give out about 500 treats.

Thank you to our local businesses, churches, clubs, and organizations that make this popular event a huge success each year!

Giving Back

This event and all of its activities are free, but we do encourage donations to the Kennedale Professional Firefighters Association (KPFFA) Angel Tree.

Through the generosity of this community, the KPFFA Angel Tree Program aims to provide gifts to 70 Kennedale ISD children this year.

Angels are now available for adoption at the Fire Station (100 Cloverlane Drive), and KPFFA will also have a booth at the Christmas Tree Lighting where you can donate or adopt.

All gifts should be returned to the Fire Station by Friday, December 20. You can also drop off gifts at the Kennedale Area Chamber of Commerce (205 W. Kennedale Parkway in TownCenter), during normal business hours (Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).

Other Local Holiday Assistance Programs

These resources are not affiliated with the City of Kennedale, but do offer assistance to Tarrant County families. Thank you to the Kennedale Public Library staff for putting this list together!
