YAC is assigned with identifying areas for community and policy improvement related to youth, including the development of programs and services that empower, support, and inform youth, create a family-friendly community, enable and encourage youth to be productive members of the community, and that bridge the generational gap and elevate youth interest and participation in local government. In order to achieve these goals, YAC members plan events, build partnerships, and carries out directives from Council and staff.

The Utility and Infrastructure Board advises and formulates recommendations to Council regarding policies, projects, and other matters pertaining to the water and wastewater system, the storm water utility system, the streets and transportation system, and the solid waste collection system.

The Planning and Zoning Commission advises and makes recommendations to City Council on land development issues. Unless otherwise indicated, regular meetings are held the third Thursday of each month.

Kara Lynn Greenfield, the Gifted Liaison at R.F. Patterson Elementary, built and maintains the butterfly garden in the school’s outdoor learning center. She’ll share with you which plants best attract butterflies.
KKB will give out 25 vouchers redeemable for $25.00 worth of plants from Stegall’s Nursery.
Refreshments for this event are generously provided by the Kennedale Historical Society.

Court is held once per month on the fourth Wednesday beginning at 1:30PM. Dockets include Juvenile First Appearance and Revocation Hearings, Adult First Appearance Hearings, Attorney Plea Dockets, Pre-Trial Hearings, Bond Hearings, Civil Property Hearings and Scire Facias Bond Forfeiture Hearings and Bench and Jury Trials. All jury trials will be held at 9:00AM, but only on an as needed basis

The EDC is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive plan that includes industrial, retail, tourism, and commercial development in the City of Kennedale.
