This board advises and formulates recommendations to the City Council for the use, improvement, and growth of parks and recreation activities within the city. The board is also responsible for development and implementation of community events. Regular Meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of each month.

The City of Kennedale is a community where youth are valued and involved in planning for the future; the Kennedale Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a select group of young leaders who — through research, peer discussion, and community interaction — provide a youth perspective to City Council on a wide variety of community and youth-related issues.
