This board advises and formulates recommendations to the City Council for the use, improvement, and growth of parks and recreation activities within the city. The board is also responsible for development and implementation of community events. Regular Meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of each month.

KKB engages residents and businesses to take greater responsibility for improving the community’s appearance and environment. They also develop and coordinate beautification-related programming, outreach, and events, and serve as the Tree Advisory Board and the Tree City USA liaison.

City of Kennedale Mayor Brian Johnson will present his annual "State of the City" address at the January 15, 2020, Chamber luncheon. Tickets are $15.00 for Chamber members and $20.00 for guests.

The City of Kennedale is a community where youth are valued and involved in planning for the future; the Kennedale Youth Advisory Council is a select group of young leaders who — through research, peer discussion, and community interaction — provide a youth perspective to City Council on a wide variety of community and youth-related issues.

This History Lecture Series is presented by Mayor Brian Johnson, with support and light refreshments provided by the Kennedale Historical Society. This month's guest lecturer is Top O' Hill Terrace Historian Vickie Bryant.
For nearly 50 years, Arlington Baptist University (ABU) and its forerunners in Christian education did their utmost to eradicate or ignore the property's steamy past. However, when David Bryant became President of ABU in 1993, his wife, Vickie, managed the university bookstore and spent time researching the history of the property and acquiring items from its days as 'Top O' Hill Terrace'. Her study grew into a quest to show the transformation that Christian faith had brought to these grounds.
