The City of Kennedale is a community where youth are valued and involved in planning for the future; the Kennedale Youth Advisory Council is a select group of young leaders who — through research, peer discussion, and community interaction — provide a youth perspective to City Council on a wide variety of community and youth-related issues.

Join us for a lively 60-minute storytime that includes stories, crafts, and games. Storytime is a great way to meet other families in the community who have children that are in the same age group as your own, and is a great way to prepare children for Kindergarten. Hearing books read aloud strengthens literacy, and when the reading is done by someone other than a child's primary caregiver, it helps them learn to sit quietly and pay attention to other adults when they are speaking. While the stories and activities are geared toward toddlers and other preschoolers, children of all ages are welcome.
