The City of Kennedale is a community where youth are valued and involved in planning for the future; the Kennedale Youth Advisory Council is a select group of young leaders who — through research, peer discussion, and community interaction — provide a youth perspective to City Council on a wide variety of community and youth-related issues.

Mayor and City Council Places 2 and 4 are elected in May of even-numbered years. The full candidate packet will be available online (as a PDF) at www.cityofkennedale.com/candidatepacket; and in the City Secretary's Office (printed), no later than Wednesday, January 15, 2020, which is the first day to file for a place on the ballot. The deadline to file is Friday, February 14, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. However, we do urge you to file as soon as possible. There is no filing fee. City of Kennedale Mayor Brian Johnson will present his annual "State of the City" address at the January 15, 2020, Chamber luncheon. Tickets are $15.00 for Chamber members and $20.00 for guests.
