The Kennedale Senior Center provides access to community resources, nutrition, health and entertainment activities that promote social connection, vibrant aging, and life-long learning and enable the emotional and physical well-being of independent adults over 55. Our goal is to provide opportunities for seniors that meet their changing needs, improve their quality of life, and empower them to live life to the fullest.

Volunteer Opportunity

Need a Ride?

Countywide service for older adults 65+ and persons with disabilities

Rides guaranteed to Kennedale Residents every Tuesday. The service is door-to-door, and the driver will escort the passenger to and from the vehicle. Drivers are not allowed to enter residences, and will only go to the main floor lobby area in businesses.   

Passengers will need to estimate when to schedule the return trip, but they can call Catholic Charities if the time needs to change. If the passenger needs a personal care attendant (PCA) to assist them, the PCA rides for free. Guests pay the same $2.50 one-way fare as the passenger.

Please submit your request at least 48 hours before the requested pick-up time.

When you call, be prepared to provide the following:

  • The time you are due at your destination
  • Destination address and description
  • Requested time for your return trip
  • The number of riders, including any personal care attendant or guest accompanying you.
