Make a Claim
One in four Texans has unclaimed property from forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, security deposits, and utility refunds. It's your money, and both the City of Kennedale and the State of Texas wants you to get it back. The State of Texas is currently holding more than $2 billion in cash and other valuables waiting for the rightful owners to claim. It's never too late to make claim, and the State of Texas is committed to ensuring hardworking Texans don't lose a penny.
Unclaimed Property Valued at $100 Or Less
The City of Kennedale is currently holding property that is presumed abandoned or unclaimed subject to Title VI, Chapter 76 of the Texas Property Code. The City of Kennedale publishes the names of those individuals/entities for which city is holding unclaimed property valued at $100 or less. View the city's Unclaimed Property List (PDF).
Establishing Right to Receive Property
Any person possessing a legal or beneficial interest in the reported property may obtain additional information by contacting the Finance Department at (817) 985-2110. In addition to the specified proof of ownership, a completed Unclaimed Property Request (PDF) must be completed and submitted to establish the owner's right to receive the property.
