FOLK: Volunteer or Donate

Volunteers are an invaluable asset to our library. If you're interested, please fill out this form (PDF) or call 817-985-2136 for more information. Typical jobs include shelving materials, repairing materials, and helping with programs for all ages.

We gladly award community service hours to local students. However, we are not able to offer community service as part of a court-ordered program or as a way to "work off" fines or fees.

Donations of Materials

We are grateful for donations of media or books that are in good condition. Unfortunately, large donations of books cannot currently be accepted due to space limitations. As we do have very limited space, please understand that if we cannot use donated materials as part of our collection, they will be offered at an upcoming book sale.

Friends of the Library - Kennedale (FOLK)

FOLK was established in 1992 to establish an accredited public library in our community. Since the accomplishment of that huge milestone, this volunteer organization's sole purpose has become providing funding for the Kennedale Public Library above and beyond what is provided within the City's budget. Anyone wishing to join FOLK may fill out this form (PDF) or pick up an application at the library. All memberships expire annually on December 31.

Please make checks payable to "Friends of the Library-Kennedale" or "FOLK", which is a 501(c)3 organization. Your donation to FOLK is tax-deductible, and a receipt will be provided by request.
