03/18 - Animal Bite - 3700 block of New Hope Road: At 1:34 p.m. an officer responded to a complaint of a dog bite. The event occurred the previous week in the 3700 block of New Hope Road. The 38 year old female victim was bitten by a family member's dog. The report was referred to Kennedale Animal Services for follow-up.
03/19 - Theft $50 to $500 - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 8:15 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a theft of beer form a convenience store. The suspect, a male, had left before the officer's arrival. The suspect had stolen two 18 packs of beer before leaving. The same suspect was reported to have stolen beer earlier at 11:44 a.m. and again two days earlier.
03/19 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 7000 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 6:40 p.m. an officer responded to Eric's Towing on Kennedale Parkway for a recovered stolen vehicle reported by the Forest Hill Police Department. The vehicle had been towed from an apartment complex earlier in the day. The vehicle was held for the Forest Hill police.
03/20 - Burglary, Criminal Mischief, False Report to a Police Officer - 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 4:20 p.m. an officer took a report of a burglary of a habitation. The victim had been notified by the property manager that several males had entered her apartment and vehicle, removing property. The manager reported that the males ran away when he confronted them. A witness contradicted the statement and stated that the manager was seen entering the apartment with another worker. The case remains under investigation.
03/21 - Possession of Marijuana, Evading Arrest or Detention - 400 block of Coker Valley: At 12:21 a.m. an officer observed an unconscious male sitting in a running vehicle with the lights on. The vehicle was stopped in a residence driveway. The officer stopped to check on the welfare of the driver. The driver was very difficult to awaken as he was smoking marijuana prior to the officer's arrival. The officer could see marijuana and paraphernalia on the console in plain view as well as a pipe in his hand. As the officer was attempting to place handcuffs on the suspect, he pulled free and ran away from the officer. The suspect managed to elude the officer. Warrants have been issued for the suspect's arrest.
03/21 - Found Property - 900 block of Sunrise Drive: At 8:15 a.m. an officer observed a green and white street sign on the front porch of a residence. The owner stated that the sign and pole had appeared on his porch when his house was "wrapped" several nights earlier. The sign was marked as the property of the city of Arlington. The sign was removed and held for Arlington Street Department personnel to pick up.
