03/31 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 6300 block of Tealpond Drive: At 1:17 p.m. an officer responded to a reported theft of a guitar. The victim reported that the guitar was removed from an apartment that he had taken it to for a party. The victim listed a witness who had seen a known suspect place the guitar in a vehicle. When contacted, the witness denied making the statement and the suspect, who was also present, denied taking the guitar.

04/01 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 500 block of Crestview Drive: At 11:56 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a 2000 Ford F-150 truck, was a maintenance vehicle belonging to Kennedale ISD. The vehicle was stolen during the weekend.

04/01 - Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information - 1100 block of Parkview Trail: At 6:23 p.m. an officer responded to a report of identity theft. The female victim reported that she was notified of two delinquent cell phone accounts in her name. The victim stated that she did not open the accounts. The victim was able to name a suspect and how her information was obtained.

04/03 - Theft Under $50 - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 8:14 p.m. a convenience store reported the theft of beer. The suspect left the store in a green pick-up truck and drove east onto I-20.

04/04 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 5600 block of I 20 Service Road: At 3:52 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Two adult males were in the front seat of the vehicle. The vehicle's owner, a female, was asleep in the back seat. As the officer got the two males out of the vehicle she could smell marijuana. The passenger ran from the scene on foot and disappeared into Forest Hill. The officer stayed with the vehicle and the two remaining occupants. After securing the male the officer was able to awaken the female. During a search of the vehicle, the officer found marijuana and numerous Xanax pills. The female admitted to possessing the narcotics and was arrested for possession. The male was released at the scene.

04/04 - Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon - 6400 block of Treepoint Drive: At 6:29 a.m. an officer responded to a reported aggravated assault. The victim, an adult male, walked into a business and told employees that he had been assaulted. The victim then passed out. Police and medics were summoned. The victim was able to regain consciousness and told the officer that he was assaulted by two males who had offered him a ride. Once he was in the vehicle, an SUV, the victim was assaulted with a metal object. The victim was able to open a back door and exit the vehicle. He then went for help.

04/04 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 1100 block of River Rock Drive: At 9:37 a.m. an officer took a theft report. The victim reported that his Omega watch was stolen by an unknown employee of a moving company that he hired to move his household items from Kennedale to Carrolton. The watch is valued at $2,500.

04/05 - Burglary - 100 block of Industrial Drive: At 10:29 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a burglary. The victim reported that during the previous two weeks person(s) unknown had entered the metal building by prying back the siding. Numerous household items were removed. The building is a storage facility for items from estate sales. No value was given for the missing items.

04/05 - Possession of Prohibited Weapon / Possession of Controlled Substance - 1200 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 1:44 p.m. an officer stopped a red 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier for a traffic violation. The driver, an adult male, had outstanding warrants from several cities. Subsequent to the arrest, the officer located a powder that tested positive for a controlled substance known as "bath salts" as well as some brass knuckles. The suspect was booked into the municipal jail.

04/05 - Credit/Debit Card Abuse - 1400 block of Fern Court: At 7:01 p.m. an officer responded to a report of debit card abuse. The victim stated that someone unknown to him had gotten his debit card from the mail and had made numerous withdrawals totaling several thousand dollars. The victim canceled the card when the withdrawals were discovered.

04/06 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 300 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 10:05 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a theft. The victim reported that person(s) unknown had removed his son's go cart from their property. The vehicle was valued at $1,100.

04/06 - Criminal Mischief $500 to $1,500 - 700 block of Little School Road: At 8:38 p.m. officers responded to a report of a grass fire. Earlier in the shift an officer had taken a report of a threat to burn the house at the location. The fire appeared to have been deliberately set in order to burn the house. The tires on the home owner's vehicle had also been slashed. The victim, an elderly female, was able to name a suspect. A witness who had heard the listed suspect make a threat to burn the home was located. The case remains under investigation.
