04/21 - Possession of Marijuana - 4900 block of Little School Road: Just after midnight an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The 21 year old driver was extremely nervous. When asked by the officer why he was nervous, the driver failed to answer but became even more tense. The officer then asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle. The driver stated that he had marijuana in the car. The marijuana was located in the glove compartment of the vehicle. The driver was arrested for possession and transported to the municipal jail for booking.

04/21 - Mentally Ill Person - 200 block of Sulphur Street: At 7:11 p.m. officers were dispatched to a call regarding a mentally ill person threatening to kill his house mates. The suspect had phoned 911 and stated the threat to kill everyone in his group home. Once the suspect's behavior was under control he was left in the custody of his caretakers.

04/21 - Assault Bodily Injury - 200 block of 4th Street: At 9:21 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance at a residence. On arrival the officers found a 46 year old male victim laying in the street. The male appeared to have been assaulted due to bleeding from the mouth and a swollen face. The male appeared to have been drinking heavily. A female victim was also present and showed a visible facial injury as well. The female stated that she had returned home to her husband (the male victim) drinking with two other males. The female became upset at one of the two male suspects and slapped him. At that point both she and the male victim were assaulted by the two male suspects. The suspects left before officers arrived.

04/22 - Forgery of a Financial Instrument - 400 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 3:55 p.m. a victim reported to police that he had reviewed his business checking account and discovered three cashed checks that were not his. Person(s) unknown had forged the checks, totaling $815.00. The victim believes that the checks were stolen from his checkbook while it was at his business.

04/22 - Information - 500 block of North Road: At 5:17 p.m. an officer took a report of a threat to students and faculty at the Kennedale Junior High School. A student reported to the officer that a friend stated on the bus ride home that something bad was going to happen at school on 04/23/2013. The information was reported to the School Resource Officer for the junior high, who reported the threat to faculty. Extra officers were present at the beginning of school on 04/23/2013 and on 04/24/213. There were no incidents and the involved students were interviewed. No credible threat was found and the students were dealt with through the school discipline system.

04/23 - False Drivers License/ID - 1200 block of Little School Road: At 9:12 a.m. an officer responded to a complaint about an attempted defrauding of a financial institution. On arrival the officer met with a 30 year old female complainant, an employee of the institution. The complainant reported that a female suspect had been in the business earlier attempting to open an account. The suspect presented two documents as identification. One was a permanent expired drivers license and the other was a paper renewal license. Both appeared to have been altered. When the employee went into the back to make a closer inspection of the documents, the suspect left. A report was filed and a video of the suspect was provided.

04/24 - Tampering with a government Document - 400 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 10:15 a.m. an officer was attempting to get a city vehicle inspected. The officer noticed that the inspector failed to do a complete inspection as required by state law. After a new inspection sticker was placed on the car, the officer arrested the inspector. He was transported to the municipal jail for booking.

04/25 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 100 block of Pine Meadows: At 8:46 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance. The complaint was two females arguing. Arriving officers located one of the involved persons, a 29 year old female, leaving the scene. The female stated that she went to the 4th Street location to speak with her common-law husband. There were two other females present, one of which she got into a verbal altercation with. The female also told officers that her husband had assaulted her the night before at another location on Pine Meadows in Kennedale. The female stated that her husband is a narcotics user and she is afraid of him. The female requested that officers assist her with a protective order. Arrangements were made for the victim to complete a family violence statement. The husband was not on scene when officers arrived.

04/26 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 300 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 7:08 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The officer made contact with the 17 year old male driver and his 24 year old passenger. The passnger is a known drug offender from previous contacts. The passenger had warrants from Forest Hill and Fort Worth. The officer observed the passenger trying to hide an item in his waistband. Closer inspection revealed it to be a used syringe and a spoon/cotton ball used to prepare heroin for use. The passenger was arrested for the warrants and the paraphernalia.

04/26 - Delivery of Controlled Substance - 4900 block of Little School Road: At 9:23 p.m. an officer observed a known wanted person driving in the 1200 block of Little School Road. Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer made contact with the driver/suspect, a 36 year male. During the stop the suspect kept trying to reach in to the back seat. The suspect admitted to the officer that he knew he had warrants and that police had been looking for him. Warrants were confirmed out of Kennedale, Fort Worth, and Haltom City. The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrants and was searched incident to his arrest. The officer located a bag of white rocks that appeared to be narcotics in the suspect's pants pocket. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed more rocks, all of which tested positive for crack cocaine. Marijuana was also located in the vehicle. The suspect was transported to the municipal jail for booking.

04/27 - Driving While Intoxicated - 7200 block of I-20 Service Road: At 2:32 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle speeding on the I-20 access road headed into Arlington. Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer made contact with the 32 year old driver/suspect. The officer could smell an odor of alcohol in the car and observed an open container of beer in the right rear floorboard. The driver was unable to complete the field sobriety assessment and was arrested for DWI. Breath test results showed a reading of 0.16%. The suspect was booked into the municipal jail.

04/27 - Assault by Contact - 800 block of Woodland Court: At 8:11 p.m. officers responded to a report of a disturbance. On arrival the officers contacted a 23 year old female victim. The victim stated that she had been choked by her 26 year old common-law husband. The suspect had fled the scene and gone to a neighbor's residence. Officers were able to locate the suspect and placed him in handcuffs. The victim attempted to change her story at this point to prevent his arrest. Officers were able to determine that the suspect had assaulted the female and he was charged with the assault.

04/27 - Animal Bite - 100 block of Peach Tree Court: At 6:56 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a dog bite to a 9 year old male. The dog was located and the owner advised that the dog had not received its rabies vaccine. The dog was impounded by animal services for quarantine.
