06/09 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 400 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 3:48 a.m. an officer observed a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Kennedale Parkway. As the officer attempted to catch up to the motorcycle the lights went out. When the officer arrived in the 400 block he observed the motorcycle lying in the roadway. The operator was not in the vicinity and appeared to have abandoned the vehicle. A check of the license plate revealed the motorcycle to be stolen out of Forest Hill. The motorcycle was impounded and held for the Forest Hill police.
06/10 - Terroristic threat (Family/Household) - 800 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 10:07 a.m. officers were dispatched to a harassment call. The female complainant stated that her estranged husband was armed and coming to her home after making threats to the family. The first arriving officer made contact with the complainant to begin an interview. The estranged husband drove by the home at that time but drove away when he observed the officer on scene. A second responding officer was able to locate the vehicle and followed it until back-up units arrived. The vehicle was stopped and the sole occupant was identified as the suspect. During an interview the suspect admitted to sending threatening text messages to his wife. The suspect was taken to the municipal jail for booking.
06/10 - Theft $50 to $500 - 400 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 1:42 p.m. a complainant came to the police department to report a theft. The complainant owns a car sales lot and had several spare car rims removed form his property by two suspects. The suspects were shown on a security video entering the property and leaving with the items. The video was placed into evidence to assist in identifying the suspects.
06/13 - Possession of Dangerous Drug - 1300 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 12:53 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle violation at the traffic light. The vehicle was stopped in Forest Hill after moving through the intersection. The two female occupants appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic. The passenger had warrants from Forest Hill and was field released to their police department. The driver had a number of prescription bottles with medications in them as well as several controlled substances with no prescription. She also had several counterfeit bills in various denominations in her possession. The driver was placed under arrest and booked in to the municipal jail.
06/13 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 1000 block of Little School Road: At 5:13 p.m. an officer observed a known vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. Upon stopping the vehicle the officer was able to determine that in addition to an expired inspection, the vehicle also had a license plate emblem that belonged on a different vehicle. The license plate emblem was seized as evidence. The driver was determined to be wanted by Fort Worth police and was arrested for the warrants. While in the patrol unit rear seat, the suspect attempted to hide a baggie of cocaine concealed in his clothing. After arriving at the jail the suspect was determined to have two baggies of marijuana hidden on his person. The suspect was booked into jail and charged with the narcotics.
06/13 - Criminal Mischief $500 to $1,500 - 1100 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 11:32 p.m. a female complainant called to state that a known suspect had damaged her vehicle in a parking lot. The suspect attempted to speak to the victim, who did not want to talk to the suspect. The suspect then ran his motorcycle into the passenger door of the victim's car, damaging it. When the suspect attempted again to speak to the victim, she stated the police had been called. The suspect left the scene at that time.
06/14 - Evading Arrest/Detention - 100 block of Oakwood Circle: At 9:44 a.m. an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a possible a license plate violation. The male driver/suspect was acting very agitated and speaking irrationally. During the interview the suspect ran away from the officer and had to be chased down. The suspect resisted the officers attempts to handcuff him but was eventually secured and transported to the municipal jail for booking.
06/14 - Information - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 2:30 p.m. a dispatcher observed a female prisoner in the municipal jail attempting to harm herself. The prisoner was secured and transported to JPS hospital for treatment and mental evaluation. Custody was transferred to the Tarrant County Sheriff's as the prisoner was being held on county-level narcotics charges.
06/15 - Overdose - 200 block of Kenney Street: At 4:28 a.m. officers were dispatched to a disturbance. On arrival they observed a 24 year old male in his underwear in a yard. The male was on his hands and knees, and muttering incoherently. It was apparent that the male was in some sort of mental/physical distress and officers attempted to secure him for his protection. The male became combative, resisting officers attempts to handcuff him. After securing the male, officers spoke to a friend who was present at the male's home. The friend stated that the male had taken "acid" (LSD). The male was transported to JPS Hospital for treatment and observation. During treatment he admitted to taking 10 to 15 "hits" of the drug. After being treated for the drug overdose, he was admitted for mental evaluation.
06/15 - Theft of Materials (Regulated Metals) - 700 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 10:11 a.m. officers responded to a complaint of suspicious activity at a known location for narcotics users. Officers discovered a number of individuals, both male and female, at the location stripping large amounts of coiled copper wire. When confronted by the officers the subjects were very nervous and stated that they "found" the wire in the creek. The wire did not appear to be dirty and Forest Hill P.D. was working a series of overnight wire thefts in their city. Four of the subjects were wanted on warrants and were arrested. The home owner denied any knowledge of the wire and stated that he did not want the wire on his property. The wire was seized and placed in evidence for later identification. A Forest Hill P.D. detective looked at the wire but was unable to verify that it came from one of their thefts.
06/15 - Theft $50 to $500 - 1400 block of J.R. Hawkins Road: At 11:03 a.m. an officer took a report of the theft of metal shelving from the location. The complainant stated that unknown persons removed the material, valued at $4,500.00, from the property without the owner's consent.
06/17 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 900 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 10:17 a.m. an officer observed two females walking in a traffic lane of Kennedale Parkway. A male was pacing the two females from the shoulder of the road. Investigation revealed that one of the females, a 19 year old, was actually a resident of a nearby group home and had walked away from residence. The male and female were attempting to get her to return. Officers were ultimately able to convince the female to return to the home but then she refused to get out of the patrol unit, stating that she was going to harm herself. Due to the suicide threat, the female was transported to JPS Hospital for a mental evaluation.
06/17 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 400 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 2:10 p.m. an officer took a report from a theft victim. The victim stated that two unknown persons had entered his property overnight and removed several items valued at $950.00. The victim had security video footage of the theft, which was turned over to the officer as evidence.
06/17 - Theft $50 to $500 - 3800 block of Kennedale New Hope Road: At 6:56 p.m. an officer took a report of the theft of a pick-up truck tailgate. The driver had left his vehicle in a parking area unattended and the tail gate was removed while he was gone. The item was valued at $400 to $500.
06/17 - Theft of Materials (Regulated Metals) - 1400 block of J.R. Hawkins Road: At 10:18 a.m. an officer took a metal theft report. This location has had several thefts due to an unsecured area of the property. Unknown suspects removed $1,500.00 worth of metal from the location.
06/19 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 6300 block of Tealpond Drive: At 8:28 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a tail gate theft from a pick-up truck owner. The tail gate was removed from a 2013 Chevy truck parked in an apartment complex. The item was valued at $2,000.
06/21 - Burglary of Building - 200 block of Village Street: At 10:26 a.m. an officer responded to a burglary investigation. Person(s) unknown entered a storage building at the youth association baseball facility and removed a number of items of equipment. The items were valued at $1,072.00.
06/22 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 6400 block of Treepoint Drive: At 12:17 a.m. an officer was on a traffic stop on Little School Road when he heard a traffic collision behind his location. The Officer observed a vehicle had crashed into a utility pole and the male driver was still in the vehicle. Upon clearing the stop and contacting the driver. the officer could smell an odor of marijuana in the car. The officer located seeds and stems in the floorboard as well as a cigarette rolling device. The vehicle also contained a large amount of cash in a box. The driver's girlfriend, who owned the car, responded and took possession of the vehicle and property.
06/22 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 5000 block of U.S. 287 Service Road: At 8:39 p.m. an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a warrant investigation. The two male occupants were checked by the officer. During the interview a baggie of white powder was located in the passenger floorboard. The substance tested positive for cocaine. The driver was arrested for outstanding warrants and the passenger was arrested for the narcotic. Both were transported to the municipal jail for booking.
