07/07 - Public Intoxication - 1200 block of Little School Road: At 12:30 a.m. officers were dispatched to a disturbance between two males. On arrival the officers found that the males could speak no English but exhibited signs of intoxication. Both males lived in Mansfield and apparently got into the argument while going home from a fishing trip to Lake Benbrook. Both were placed in the municipal jail for public intoxication.
07/07 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 2:40 a.m. an officer stopped two bicyclists, a 32 year old male and a 22 year old female, for traffic violations. During the interview it was determined that the female was in possession of a narcotics pipe and a baggie of methamphetamine. The male had no contraband in his possession. The female was arrested and booked into the municipal jail.
07/07 - Theft Under $50 - 200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 1:17 p.m. an officer took a theft report from a complainant at the police department. The complainant, a manager of a local restaurant, stated that an employee had been taking money from customers in payment for food, and then pocketing the money. The employee, who was fired for the activity, was observed on video providing the food to customers and then putting the money into her pocket. The employee was located and charged/cited for the theft.
07/09 - Deceased Person - 6700 block of Lindale Road: At 6:39 a.m. officers were dispatched to a death investigation call. On arrival the officers observed an 82 year old deceased male with a gunshot to the head. Family members were present at the time of the incident and gave officers statements.
07/09 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 600 block of Bluebonnet: At 5:59 p.m. an officer took a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim reported that she and her husband had listed a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria for sale on Craigslist. Two males responded to the ad and looked at the vehicle. One of the males asked to test drive the car and asked if the owner had the title. The owner placed the title in the car but was unable to get into the passenger seat before the male drove the vehicle away. The second male also drove away from the scene in a second vehicle. The vehicle was entered into the state and national databases as stolen.
07/09 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 100 block of Pine Meadows Drive: At 7:30 p.m. an officer responded to a theft report. On arrival, the officer was told by the victim that his Mercury boat motor was stolen off of his boat. The boat was parked in the driveway of the residence. The motor was valued at $400.
07/09 - Criminal Mischief - 600 block of Lakewood Drive: At 11:17 p.m. an officer responded to multiple reports of mailboxes and trash cans being damaged by explosions. All of the damage appeared to be inflicted by homemade explosive devices, possibly made from fireworks. Reports were taken.
07/10 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 6400 block of Tealpond Drive: At 7:35 a.m. an officer was dispatched to a report of a stolen motorcycle. The motorcycle, a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja, was stolen during the overnight hours from an apartment complex parking lot.
07/11 - Criminal Mischief $50 to $500 - 100 block of Dick Price Road: At 1:30 p.m. an officer took a report of a damaged mailbox. The owner believes the mailbox was damaged by a vehicle. No witnesses were located.
07/13 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 5000 block of Little School Road: At 3:18 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop and interview, the officer located a large combat-type knife and a narcotics pipe. The driver was issued citations and released at the scene.
07/13 - Delivery of Marijuana - 200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 5:17 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver, a 24 year old male, was extremely nervous. The officer could smell an odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. During the interview the officer discovered a large bag of marijuana hidden in the passenger door of the vehicle behind a loose door panel. The male was transported to the municipal jail for booking.
07/13 - Assault Bodily Injury - 3800 block of Kennedale New Hope Road: At 10:12 p.m. an officer responded to a reported assault at Kennedale Speedway Park. On arrival the officer observed a 53 year old male victim laying next to a pick-up truck. The male was being attended to by an off-duty constable and two EMTs from Trans Care. The male stated that he had been assaulted by a known person over disputed work on a vehicle. The actor, who was reportedly armed with a handgun, was not at the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital by Kennedale Fire/Rescue paramedics.
