08/13 - Vehicle Burglary - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 8:45 a.m. a victim reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle. The vehicle was parked at a convenience store gas island when a male suspect opened the door and removed her purse. The offense was witnessed by the victim's minor child, who was in the car at the time, while the victim was inside the store.
08/13 - Criminal Trespass - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 1:09 p.m. officers were dispatched to a convenience store in regards to a male suspect who had trespassed on the property. The suspect had been on the property one hour earlier asking patrons for money and food. He was warned to leave and not return. Upon the officers' arrival the suspect was arrested and transported to the municipal jail for booking.
08/14 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 3:55 a.m. officers were dispatched to a convenience store for an emotionally disturbed female. The female was speaking incoherently and stated that she was bipolar. Due to her unstable mental condition she was transported to JPS Hospital for a mental evaluation.
08/15 - Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle, Fail to Identify (Fugitive) - 700 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 12:12 a.m. a patrol officer observed a vehicle in the parking lot of a business. The vehicle had its headlights on and the female driver began to back out of the parking space when the officer pulled into the parking lot. As the officer exited his patrol vehicle, a second vehicle backed out of another space. The second vehicle, a pick-up truck, was driven by a male subject who looked at the officer. As the officer ordered him to stop, the driver drove away from the scene. The officers left and stopped the truck on the highway. The driver verbally identified himself to the officers. During the interview one of the officers found a wallet in the truck with the driver's photo and a different name. The driver admitted he lied due to his having outstanding warrants for his arrest. Two warrants were discovered: one for Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence), and one for probation violation for Burglary. The suspect was arrested and transported to the municipal jail for booking.
08/15 - Burglary - 1000 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 6:14 p.m. an officer observed a known suspect operating a vehicle on a public roadway. The suspect was known to the officer as having an active felony warrant for burglary and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The suspect, a 51 year old male, was arrested on the warrant. He had several items of jewelry in his possession which he said belonged to a female who was also in the vehicle. The female denied owning the jewelry and it was placed into evidence pending further investigation. The suspect was arrested and booked into the municipal jail.
08/15 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 5300 block of Mansfield Highway: At 7:44 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle drove out of Kennedale into Forest Hill before stopping. The vehicle had two male occupants in it. During the interview and stop, the officer located several items that are commonly associated with narcotics usage. One of the males admitted that the items were his. He was cited for the paraphernalia and released.
