09/01 - Aggravated Robbery - 700 block of Indian Springs: At 9:21 p.m. officers responded to a burglary in progress. The officers made contact with a husband and wife at the address. The wife reported that she came home from Walmart and closed the garage door as she exited her car. The door went back up and she closed it again as she went into the house. She went back to the garage a few minutes later to retrieve the purchases. She was confronted by a suspect believed to be a black male wearing a ski mask. The suspect had a knife and came towards the wife, causing her to scream. Her husband responded to the garage and saw the suspect. The suspect demanded the husband’s wallet and the wife’s purse, both of which he took with him. The suspect asked about jewelry and started to enter the home. He stopped when informed that children were home. The suspect then left in an unknown vehicle.
The suspect is described as light skin-toned black male with dark eyes, 5’9” to 5’11”, wearing a multi-colored ski mask. He was armed with a black handled knife that was approximately 5” long.
09/03 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 1000 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 7:41 p.m. an officer responded to an alarm at a business. Upon arrival an employee was on scene but could not give the correct password. The employee, a 29 year old male, identified himself and it was determined that he was wanted on a probation violation warrant from Tarrant County. The probation was for a narcotics charge. While frisking the suspect the officer observed a plastic bag sticking out of the suspect's pants pocket. The bag contained methamphetamine. The suspect was detained for the warrant as well as the narcotics. He was transported to the municipal jail for booking.
09/03 - Burglary of a Vehicle - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 7:33 p.m. an officer responded to Kennedale High School in regards to a complaint of a vehicle burglary. The vehicle, a Toyota Tundra, had been burglarized earlier in the day and a cell phone taken. The officer met with school officials, who reviewed surveillance footage of the parking area. A male suspect was seen prowling cars for unlocked doors. He would enter vehicles that were unlocked. The school officials gave the officer the name of a possible suspect based on the footage. The school resource officer will follow-up.
09/03 - Duty to Report on Striking Unattended Vehicle - 1200 block of Little School Road: At 9:21 p.m. a victim reported that his vehicle was struck while parked in the parking area of a local business. The vehicle was struck during his work shift and the offending driver failed to leave any information or contact the victim. The damage was estimated at $250.00 to $300.00.
09/06 - Found Property - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 12:05 a.m. an officer was conducting an inspection of a police patrol unit. During the inspection the officer discovered a small bag containing a quantity of narcotics. The bag was placed under a seat in front of the prisoner barrier between the front and rear seats. The items were logged into evidence and video footage is being reviewed to determine where the narcotics came from.
09/07 - Assault - 4300 block of Eden Road: At 11:55 p.m. a victim reported to an officer that he had been threatened by another male. The two argued over an accusation of alleged trash dumping. The actor grabbed the victim by his shirt and threatened to assault him. The victim did not wish to prosecute but wanted a report in case the actor escalated his behavior and acted on the threat.
