09/08 - Information - 600 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 12:18 p.m. officers responded to a complaint of an unknown person threatening the complainant's family member. The complainant, a female, stated that she received a phone call from an unknown person stating that the complainant's brother had hit his vehicle. The caller stated that he had the brother "tied up" and was going to shoot him. The caller ask her brother's name and she gave him the name of another family member. The caller stated that was correct and, knowing he was lying, the complainant disconnected to call police. Contact was made with the brother, who was not in any danger.
09/09 - Use or Possession of Identifying Information - 900 block of Shady Oaks Drive: At 12:55 p.m. a 59 year old female victim reported to police that her checking account had been accessed with unauthorized checks. The fraudulent checks were for the correct account but listed a different routing number. The victim had already closed the account and was reimbursed the money by the bank. She was provided a service report number for the forgery report.
09/09 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 200 block of Broadway: At 3:21 p.m. an officer responded to a theft complaint. The victim, an 80 year old male, stated that several days earlier a male had knocked on his door and offered to repair damage to the victim's vehicle. The victim agreed to allow the repair for $320.00. The suspect began to look at the vehicle while the victim observed. A female suspect who was sitting in the suspect's vehicle approached the victim and asked to use the restroom. He allowed the female access to the home. The male suspect stated that he need materials to complete the repairs and the victim gave him $280.00. The suspects left and never returned. Afterward the victim discovered that his $2,600.00 Masonic ring had been stolen. It is believed that the female suspect removed the ring during her entry in to the home to use the bathroom.
09/09 - Assault by Contact - 4400 block of Danny Drive: At 8:09 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A small child answered the door and left to get an adult. An adult female came to the door in an obviously agitated stated and appeared intoxicated. Contact was made with an adult male at the residence who reported that he had been pushed by the female during an argument. The male reported that he had an injured collar bone and the contact caused pain. The female continued to disrupt the call due to her agitation and intoxication. She was detained in handcuffs and placed in a patrol unit for safety until officers could determine exactly what occurred. The female is known to officers from previous contacts due to her alcohol abuse and violence. While in the patrol unit the female began threatening family members present at the residence. Officers determined that she was a danger to herself and others. Based on the assault, she was charged and transported to the municipal jail for booking.
09/11 - Assault (Bodily Injury) Family Member - 400 block of North Road: At 8:16 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. On arrival they met with a 23 year old female victim who stated that her boyfriend had assaulted her and threw her out of the house. The victim exhibited injuries consistent with an assault. Officers then spoke to the boyfriend, who confirmed the argument. The boyfriend was placed under arrest for assault and booked into the municipal jail.
09/12 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 5400 block of Kennedale Street: At 2:45 p.m. an officer observed a vehicle with two females and a male leave a known drug house. When the occupants saw the officer approaching they pulled into a business and exited in an attempt to elude the officer. As the officer waited to see what the occupants were doing, a second vehicle pulled up and picked up the two females, driving back to the house they had left. The officer contacted the male driver, who stated that one of the females believed she had a warrant. He admitted they were trying to elude the officer. The females then walked back up to the business and contacted the officers. A female officer asked the females for consent to do a physical search of their persons. They consented and one of the females was found to have a small bag of methamphetamine in her possession. She was arrested and booked into the municipal jail.
09/13 - Unlawful Possession of Firearm (Felon) - 200 bock of Kennedale-New Hope Road: At 10:30 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a false inspection sticker. A check of the 53 year old driver showed him to have a probation violation warrant for two counts of felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. The officer also observed the handle of a handgun in the seat pouch of one of the front seats. The handgun was a fully loaded .357 magnum. The driver was arrested for the warrant as well as the firearm.
09/14 - Public Intoxication - 1100 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 10:30 p.m. an officer observed an intoxicated male at a bar. The man asked about driving home and the officer stated he was too intoxicated to drive. The officer had the establishment call a cab but the male attempted to leave and enter his car. The officer place the male under arrest of public intoxication.
