11/09 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 900 block of Kennedale Parkway: At midnight an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the interview the officer obtained consent to search the three male occupants and the vehicle. During the search the officer located narcotics paraphernalia belonging to two of the males. They were cited for the contraband and released. The paraphernalia was booked into evidence.
11/09 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 500 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 9:35 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop it was determined that the 30 year old male driver was wanted for outstanding warrants from Dalworthington Gardens. During the vehicle inventory, the officer discovered three marijuana cigarettes. The driver also had a controlled substance in his wallet. All items were booked into evidence. The driver was taken Mansfield and booked in.
11/09 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 3:16 p.m. an officer received a report form a theft victim. The victim reported that she and her husband had started a diesel repair shop but had to close it down. They had a mechanic working for them that they laid off. The employee still had a key to the building. Several days after closing the shop the owners discovered that unknown person(s) had entered the shop and removed $3,205.00 in tools and equipment. They suspect that the former employee took the items.
11/10 - DWI - 200 block of Kennedale New Hope Road: At 1:45 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the interview it was determined that the 55 year old male driver had been drinking. He was unable to successfully complete a sobriety assessment and was arrested for DWI. A breath test resulted in a 0.12 and 0.13 readings, indicating intoxication. The suspect was booked into Mansfield jail.
11/11 - Information - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 4:30 p.m. a complainant made a report to an officer that his wallet was lost. The complainant believes he may have accidentally left the wallet on his vehicle while gassing up at a local convenience store. The wallet contained credit cards and $210.00 in cash.
11/14 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 4000 block of Eden Road: At 12:48 p.m. an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle. Before stopping for the officer, the driver of the vehicle threw an object out of the vehicle. It was discovered that the object was a device used to smoke narcotics. The driver was issued several citations and released.
11/15 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 5700 block of Eden Road: At 3:11 p.m. an officer took a report on a piece of missing mowing equipment. The missing item was a "brush hog" tow-behind mower. The mower was taken by person(s) unknown from the property sometime between July and November of this year. It was valued at $1,800.00.
11/16 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 10:48 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the interview of the three occupants, the officer located methamphetamine and several items of narcotics paraphernalia. It was determined that the front passenger of the vehicle actually owned the contraband. He was arrested and transported to Mansfield for booking.
11/16 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 6300 block of Treepoint Drive: At 7:37 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a report of a male making threatening comments at a convenience store. On arrival the male had left the store and went to a car wash next door. It was determined that the male had made a number of threats against his adoptive father, who was present. Due to his emotionally disturbed state and past violent assaults toward family members, the male was detained and transported to JPS for an emergency mental evaluation.
