12/15 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 700 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 1:44 p.m. officer responded to a disturbance involving an assault. On arrival the reported victim was not present but the alleged suspect was. The suspect, a male, stated that he had attempted to check on the welfare of a 26 year old female neighbor who had just been released from jail. The female was acting erratically and the male left. During the interview, the female approached the officers still acting erratically and began yelling incoherently. The female is known to officers as a methamphetamine user and is mentally unstable. The female had no injuries on her but began to head butt a mobile home. The female was detained for her safety and transported to JPS for an emergency mental detention.
12/15 Assault by Contact - 200 block of Pine Meadows: At 7:48 p.m. officers responded to a reported disturbance. Contact was made with a 69 year old female suspect who stated that she had gotten into an argument with her grandson's 28 year old girlfriend. The grandson and girlfriend also live in the residence. During the argument the suspect struck the victim. The victim was not at the home but officers contacted her at a nearby residence. She had a mark on her neck from the assault and wanted to press charges. The suspect was cited for the assault and agreed to temporarily leave the residence.
12/16 - Theft of Metals Under $20,000 - 1000 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 7:00 a.m. an officer responded to a theft report. The complainant stated that over the weekend person(s) unknown had cut the power lines to two portable buildings and had removed the copper wiring. No value was set for the damage at the time of the report.
12/16 - Vehicle Burglary - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 8:58 a.m. a victim reported that her purse and workout bag along with all of the contents were removed form her vehicle. She had parked the vehicle in front of a business and ran inside. Person(s) unknown entered the unlocked vehicle while the victim was in the store and removed the items with contents valued at $4,350.00. No witnesses were located.
12/19 - Assault - 4300 block of Danny Drive: At 3:47 p.m. a 39 year old female victim reported an assault by a known 40 year old female suspect. The victim lives with her boyfriend at the residence and the suspect is the boyfriend's ex-girlfriend. The victim stated that the suspect was upset at her over a personal matter and had entered the home without notice. The suspect struck the victim in the head numerous times during an argument and then left the scene.
12/19 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 900 block of Sublett Road: At 8:13 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the interview the officer smelled marijuana inside of the vehicle. The driver stated that he had smoked marijuana in the vehicle several hours earlier. The officer located drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The driver was cited and released.
12/21 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 100 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 2:43 p.m. a store manager confronted a shoplifting suspect in the parking lot of the store. The suspect, a female, had been observed placing items in her purse. The manager attempted to get the suspect to come back into the store but she refused, driving away. The suspect left her purse, contents including her wallet, and the stolen items when she left.
