01/08 - Vehicle Burglary - 1100 block of Fawn Meadow Trail: At 1:26 a.m. a victim reported to officers that he interrupted a burglary of his vehicle. The victim had parked his vehicle in front of his residence at the curb. Several minutes later the victim observed his interior light on and investigated. A male suspect was observed running from the vehicle. The victim chased the suspect, who ran to a waiting white SUV in the next block over. The suspect got into the vehicle with a second suspect, who was driving. As the suspects drove away the victim grabbed the passenger-side door handle and pulled it off while trying to open the door. Entry was made into the victim's vehicle, which wasn't locked, but nothing was missing.
01/08 - Vehicle Burglary - 1100 block of Greenview Lane: At 7:17 a.m. an officer took a report of a vehicle burglary. The victim reported that several blank checks were stolen from his unlocked vehicle, which was parked overnight in his driveway.
01/08 - Vehicle Burglary - 1000 block of Chandler Court: At 3:05 p.m. a victim reported that his men's model Schwinn bicycle was removed from the bed of his pick-up truck. The truck was parked overnight on the street in front of a residence he was visiting. The bicycle was valued at $229.97.
01/09 - DWI, Interference with a Public Servant - 900 block of Greenfield Court: At 2:20 a.m. an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on Little School Road. The vehicle drove to a residence on Greenfield Court and the driver attempted to get into the residence while disobeying the officer's commands to stop. The driver verbally identified himself but that identity was later proved to be false. Due to the driver's aggressive nature, a field sobriety test was not possible in the field. The driver continued to be verbally abusive to the officer after resisting being placed in the vehicle. Once arriving at the Mansfield jail, the suspect resisted the jail personnel's efforts to check him for contraband while being booked in. A sobriety assessment was administered at the jail. The suspect was unable to complete the tasks as instructed. He was charged with interference with a Public Servant and DWI (2nd Charge).
01/09 - Burglary - 500 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 4:30 p.m. a victim reported to officers that his Ruger .45 caliber handgun was stolen from his residence. The value was placed at $450.00.
01/10 - Burglary - 600 block of North Road: At 10:44 a.m. an officer took a report of a burglary at a business. Security video from the business showed two males entering the work yard by using a key to open the main gate. The suspects removed several items of equipment and left the scene.
01/11 - Theft Under $50 - 1100 bock of Kennedale Parkway: At 11:50 a.m. an officer observed two males park on the shoulder of Kennedale Parkway, next to an auto salvage business. The males ran to the fence, picked up an item, and ran back to their vehicle. The officer stopped the males, at which point the business manager drove up. The manager stated that the males had thrown the item over the fence in an attempt to commit theft. The suspects were issued citations for theft under $50.00.
