02/03 - Credit/Debit Card Abuse - 400 block of Katie Circle: At 2:06 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report that person(s) unknown had used his credit card number to make $284.54 in unauthorized purchases. The purchases were made in October of 2013.

02/03 - Theft $50 to $500 - 400 block of Katie Circle: At 4:04 p.m. a victim reported to police that a package was stolen from his front porch. The package was delivered by FedEx in December of 2013 and left by the front door. The victim never received the package. It contained a pressure washer valued at $389.00. The victim is the same one as the credit/debit card abuse victim on the same day.

02/04 - DWI - 5700 block of I-20 Service Road: At 1:09 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation that indicated possible intoxication. After stopping the vehicle and identifying the 26 year old male operator, the officer administered a field sobriety assessment to the operator. He was unable to satisfactorily perform the tasks. The suspect refused to give a sample to the officer and refused to speak further. The officer sought and obtained a blood draw warrant from a Fort Worth judge. The blood was drawn by a nurse at the Mansfield jail and placed in evidence at the Kennedale Police Department.

02/04 - Hit and Run Accident - 300 block of Sublett Road: An officer responded to a reported hit and run accident during the day shift. The vehicle operator, a 31 year old female, stated that her 2002 Honda 4 door was struck In the rear by a white truck while she was waiting to turn left. The truck drove away after striking her. A witness gave the driver a license plate number and stated that the driver appeared to be a juvenile male. The vehicle and operator were later located at Kennedale High School, in the parking lot, by a school resource officer. The male driver said that he panicked and drove away after the collision. His information was provided to the victim, who declined to prosecute.

02/04 - Vehicle Burglary - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 11:01 a.m. an officer took a report of a stolen IPad Mini from a MedStar ambulance. The victim stated that the unit was inside the ambulance under some papers on the front seat. She was standing at the rear of the ambulance speaking to an acquaintance for several minutes. Upon leaving the area, the victim discovered the IPad missing. It was valued at $299.00.

02/04 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 300 block of North Road: At 7:28 p.m. a victim reported to officers that he observed a theft of items off of the back of his work truck parked in his driveway. The male suspect took tools and other items valued at $850.00 and left in a black compact SUV. The victim provided police with a suspect description.

02/04 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 700 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 5:45 p.m. officers responded to a reported disturbance. On arrival a 44 year old male stated that a 26 year old female, known to officers as a frequent methamphetamine user, had entered his home uninvited. When he left and got into his vehicle, the female got into the passenger side, refusing to leave. When the male contacted police via cell phone the female left the vehicle and went into another residence. During the investigation the female contacted officers and was incoherent in much of her statements and speech. The female did make statements about wanting to harm herself. The female was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention for observation and/or treatment.

02/05 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 100 block of Oakwood Lane: At 4:43 p.m. officers responded to a welfare check on a 30 year old female domestic assault victim. The check was requested by the victim's mother, who stated that the victim had been assaulted by her 44 year old boyfriend the night before. Upon contacting the victim, officers determined that she had been assaulted by the suspect but the victim refused to give a statement or cooperate. Officers accompanied the victim to her home where she obtained clothing and other items. The victim intended to spend the night at her mother's home. The boyfriend is on parole and is unable to leave the home until arrangements are made with his parole officer. Officers completed a report on their investigation.

02/05 - Theft $50 to $500 - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 11:01 p.m. a male and female entered a convenience store and removed several cases of beer. An employee attempted to stop the theft but was pushed out of the way. The suspects left with a third person in a maroon 1993 Toyota 4 door. Another employee was able to obtain a license plate that registers to a residence in Fort Worth. The beer was valued at $74.97. The same suspects committed a similar theft at the store in January of this year.

02/07 - DWI (2nd Charge) - 900 block of Little School Road: At 1:05 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle operator, a 40 year old male, smelled of alcoholic beverage and stated that he had been drinking earlier in the evening. The operator was unable to successfully perform a field sobriety assessment and was arrested. He refused to provide a specimen and a blood draw warrant was obtained from a Fort Worth judge. The blood was drawn by a nurse at the Mansfield jail and was placed in evidence at the Kennedale Police Department.
