06/01 - Delivery of a Controlled Substance - 7100 block of E. I-20: At 10:08 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The male driver had two male passengers in the vehicle. The officer smelled the odor of marijuana in the vehicle. During the stop and subsequent consent search, the officer discover one of the passengers to be in possession of a methamphetamine pipe and a baggie of methamphetamine. The other passenger was in possession of methamphetamine, a pipe, baggies of the type used to package narcotics, and a set of digital scales of the type used to weigh narcotics. Both passengers were arrested and charged. They were transported to the Mansfield jail for booking.
06/01 - Burglary - 100 block of Industrial Drive: At 12:40 p.m. a victim reported to police that person(s) unknown had entered her storage building without permission. Several vehicles that were stored in the building were damaged in what appeared to be an attempt to steal them. The damage to the building and vehicles was estimated at $2,800.00.
06/01 - Theft of Metals - 100 block of Industrial Drive: At 8:09 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had stolen a length of copper wiring from the occupied building. The wiring and damage was valued at $5,000.00.
06/02 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 200 block of S. New Hope Drive: At 9:16 a.m. a victim reported a gold 2002 Ford Focus stolen from the driveway. The victim stated that the vehicle was started and left unattended in the driveway for approximately a minute and a half. During that time person(s) unknown drove away in the vehicle. The vehicle had a number of personal items in it as the victims were in the process of moving residences.
06/02 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 300 block of Bowles Court: At 10:17 a.m. a victim reported that he had sent some money for the purchase of a vehicle to a resident in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The suspect was supposed to ship the vehicle to a port in that state for pick up. The vehicle was never shipped and the suspect refuses to call the victim back. A report was completed for the Bridgeport P.D. and sent to them.
06/02 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 500 block of North Road: At 11:37 a.m. officers were dispatched to a disturbance. The disturbance was between two adult brothers who were fighting. One of the brothers became agitated for an unknown reason and assaulted the other. The suspect was arrested for family violence and transported to Mansfield for booking.
06/04 - Fail to Identify - 5300 block of Mansfield Highway: At 12:51 a.m. a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver had no identification and several equipment violations. The driver was arrested and transported for booking. The passenger was also arrested for numerous outstanding warrants from Fort Worth.
06/03 - Theft $50 to $500 - 300 block of S. New Hope Road: At 4:24 p.m. a victim reported his boy's 20" bicycle stolen from the carport of his residence. The bike was valued at $100.00.
06/03 - Possession of Dangerous Drugs - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 6:59 p.m. a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant and was arrested. During the arrest the driver was discovered to be in illegal possession of hydrocodone pills. During a subsequent search of the vehicle the officer found methamphetamine as well. The driver was transported to Mansfield for booking.
06/04 - Fraudulent Use of Possession of Identifying Information - 800 block of Shady Creek Drive: At 5:02 p.m. a victim reported that her identity was used to open an electric utility account that was not hers. The victim had no idea who opened the account.
06/05 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 6800 block of Oakcrest Drive: At 11:35 a.m. a victim reported that an auxiliary power unit was stolen from a semi truck parked at the location. The unit was valued at $8,500.00.
06/05 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 12:15 p.m. a victim reported that her 2001 Ford Escort was stolen while stored at a relative's home on Danny Drive. The vehicle was reported inoperable and would have had to be towed to move.
06/05 - Death Investigation - 600 block of Ruth Drive: At 3:33 p.m. officers were dispatched to a report of a deceased person. Officers found a deceased 70 year old male in a bedroom of the residence. The death did not appear suspicious.
06/05 - Fraudulent Use of Possession of Identifying Information - 300 block of Bowles Court: At 6:20 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had opened several bank accounts with his personal information. The victim contacted the bank, at which time the accounts were closed.
06/07 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 200 block of 4th Street: At 10:08 a.m. a victim reported that his 2004 Ford Mustang was stolen overnight. The vehicle was valued at $4,000.00.
