06/08 - Possession of Marijuana - 300 block of Dick Price Road: At 1:07 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, a 17 year old female, was asked for consent to search the vehicle when the officer smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the interior. The driver consented to the search and stated that she was in possession of both alcohol and marijuana. In addition, a 17 year old female and 17 year old male passenger were in possession of open containers of alcohol. Both were cited for the alcohol. The driver was arrested for the marijuana and transported to the Mansfield jail for booking.
06/09 - Burglary - 300 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 5:36 a.m. a victim called police to report that his business was burglarized overnight. Video surveillance showed that a male broke out a door window and entered the store. The male removed cash and merchandise, and left in a vehicle driven by an unknown person.
06/09 - Indecency With a Child - 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 10:00 a.m. a victim and her mother arrived at the police department to report a sexual assault. The victim, a 13 year old female, had made an earlier outcry to a sheriff's deputy about an alleged sexual assault by the mother's boyfriend when they lived in Kennedale. The victim and her mother now live outside of Kennedale. The victim admitted to her mother later that she made up the allegation and the boyfriend did not touch her. The victim was interviewed by the officer and gave a written statement that the assault never occurred. A report was filed with the statement for review.
06/09 - Missing Person - 700 block of Woodland Court: At 1:15 p.m. officers took a report of two missing adult males. A female complainant stated that her son and grandson had left in the complainant's vehicle to go to Granbury. They were supposed to repair a car for a female in that city. They had left the day before and have not been heard from since. A report was filed and both males were entered into the missing persons database.
06/11 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 6300 block of Tealpond Drive: At 7:41 p.m. officers responded to a report of an unknown disturbance. On arrival they discovered it to be a domestic disturbance involving a male and female who are in a relationship and share a child. The two were arguing over some missing property when the female attempted to leave with the child. The male tried to stop her and she assaulted him, pushing him into a wall. The male had scratches and bite marks from the assault. The female was arrested for the assault and transported to Mansfield for booking.
06/11 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 4000 block of Kennedale New Hope Road: At 1:40 p.m. an officer took a report of a theft from a gas well site. Person(s) unknown entered the site while it was unoccupied and removed two batteries valued at $500.00. The reporting person gave a possible suspect name to police.
06/11 - Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information - 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 4:46 p.m. a victim reported to police that her identity was stolen. The victim stated that she lived with friends for a period of time and the mother of her friend had used the victim's identity to open several credit accounts. The victim confronted the suspect and told her to take care of the accounts. The suspect did not and the victim no longer has contact. A report was filed.
06/14 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 500 block of Winterwood Drive: At 3:35 p.m. officers responded to a report of a suicidal person. On arrival they met with a male friend of the subject who stated that he had received a number of text messages from his friend threatening to commit suicide. He was able to get into the house and remove a weapon from the subject's custody. Officers removed the weapon for safekeeping and the subject was transported to JPS for an emergency mental detention.
