In the suspect's vehicle were a number of pieces of mail including checks and credit cards belonging to persons in other areas. The suspect was arrested and transported to Mansfield for booking. 07/27 - Delivery of Marijuana/Evading Arrest or Detention - 1200 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 1:52 a.m. an officer observed two males, one 18 years old and one 20 years old, walking east on Bowman Springs Road. One of the males was carrying a backpack. After interviewing the 18 year old male who was holding the backpack, the officer asked to look in the backpack. The male consented, handing the item to the officer. As the officer opened it he discovered several bottles of beer, which neither male was old enough to possess or consume, and 11.6 ounces of marijuana. The officer told the male he was under arrest and took hold of the male's wrist to apply handcuffs. Due to profuse sweating from nervousness, the male was able to slip the officer's grip and run. Both males ran in different directions to evade arrest or detention. The officer stayed with the vehicle due to the narcotics evidence and due to the fact that both males are well known to the officer. A warrant will be issued by detectives.
