08/10 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 400 block of Linda Road: At 5:31 p.m. officers responded to a complaint of a 57 year old female making threats to harm herself. On officers' arrival the female stated that she had no purpose in life and wanted to end her life. The female was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental evaluation.
08/14 - Possession of Child Pornography - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane: At 4:27 p.m. an officer received a report of a 14 year old female sending nude photos of herself to a 60 year old male. The photos were sent via text message to the male, who is a friend of the 14 year old female's father. The child was brought to the police department by her mother for a report. The child stated that the male knew her age to be 14. She could/would not explain why she sent the photos. The phone was seized to be processed for evidentiary photos.
08/14 - Criminal Mischief $500 to $1,500 - 1100 block of Parkview Trail: At 7:15 p.m. an officer received a report of an attempted vehicle burglary. On 08-13-2014, at 4:11 a.m., an unknown male suspect entered the vehicle, which was not locked. The suspect attempted to removed the in-dash stereo system and speakers but was not successful. He did damage the vehicle and equipment in the attempt. The offense was captured on surveillance video.
08/15 - Assault (Family Violence) - 500 block of North Road: On the listed the date officers responded to a domestic disturbance in progress. On arrival the suspect, a 20 year old female, was leaving the scene and was detained. The other involved person, a 51 year old female, was the mother of the 20 year old. The two had been arguing over the fact that the daughter had taken the mother's vehicle without permission. The daughter was attempting to take property that did not belong to her when the mother intervened to stop her. The daughter assaulted the mother causing visible injuries. The daughter was arrested and searched incident to arrest. She was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance with no prescription. She was charged with the narcotics as well. She was transported to the Mansfield jail for booking.
08/15 - Burglary - 300 block of Bolen Road: At 1:54 a.m. an officer responded to a reported burglary of a storage unit. On arrival the officer met with the victim, who reported electronics and other property valued at $1,088.00 missing. Person(s) unknown entered the unit by damaging the lock.
08/16 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 7000 block of Kennedale Parkway: AT 5:23 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious person at a closed business. Upon making contact with the male, a known offender involved in past narcotics and theft offenses, officers found him to be in possession of marijuana and tools used to steal copper wiring. The male was also in possession of several strands of copper wire that had been cut and stripped. He was arrested and charged with the drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant from White Settlement. He was booked in to the Mansfield jail.
