09/01 - Duty on Striking Fixed Object - 300 block of Kennedale Sublett Road: At 7:00 a.m. officers investigated a vehicle found on its side off of the road. The vehicle had left the roadway and flipped over, knocking over a concrete fence column and striking a tree. There was no one around the vehicle, a white Chevrolet extended cab truck. The vehicle registered to a local resident. The vehicle was impounded and the property owner notified of the fence damage. An attempt was made to contact the resident but it is unknown at this time if that contact was successful. The incident remains under investigation.
09/02 - Stolen License Plates - 1300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:49 a.m. an officer ran a license plate on a moving vehicle. The license plate showed to be stolen out of North Richland Hills. Upon stopping the vehicle and interviewing the driver, the officer determined that the vehicle was not registered in Texas. The driver, a 48 year old male, stated that he obtained the plates from a friend in Fort Worth. The driver was found to have multiple outstanding warrants from Fort Worth and Euless, with a total exceeding $4,600.00. The plates were seized and placed in evidence. The driver was arrested and transported to Mansfield for booking.
09/05 - Burglary - 300 block of Bolen Road: At 9:09 a.m. a victim reported that his storage unit was illegally entered sometime over the summer. Person(s) unknown had entered the unit by punching out the key insert on the padlock and removed electronics items valued at $1,065.00. Suspect(s) had also punched through the particle board wall into adjacent units but it is unknown if these owners are aware of the offenses.
09/05 - Criminal Mischief $50 to $500 - 6900 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 12:35 p.m. a victim reported that her 1991 Lincoln Town Car had been damaged by person(s) unknown using a piece of firewood. The damage was estimated at $1,300.00.
09/06 - Criminal Mischief $50 to $500 - 400 block of Kevin Miller Road: At 9:15 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had cut her fence. It is believed that they attempted to steal a horse that the victim keeps on the property.
09/06 - Forgery - 400 block of Rolanda Lane: At 1:25 p.m. an officer received a report of a forged personal check. The check was believed to be written by the daughter of the account holder. The daughter forged the victim's signature and made the check out for a friend to cash.
