09/21 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 800 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:47 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the interview with the driver, the officer looked into the vehicle and observed in plain view pipes and a grinder associated with marijuana use as well as marijuana residue. The driver was cited and released. The contraband was taken and placed into evidence.

09/23 - Theft - 700 block of Crestview Drive: At 6:45 a.m. an officer received a report of missing firearms. The weapons, two .38 caliber handguns, were missing from a closet. The victim stated that the weapons may have been taken by a family member.

09/23 - Theft $20,000 to $100,000 - 1200 block of N. Little School Road: At 9:29 a.m. an officer responded to a reported theft. The complainant, a manger of a financial institution, reported that an employee had entered the building over the previous weekend (on Sunday) and opened the vault. The employee removed a large sum of cash and left the building. The employee failed to call or show up for work the next day. An audit of vault funds verified that cash was missing.

09/23 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 5800 block of Everman Kennedale Road: At 7:04 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle's two male occupants had thrown drug paraphernalia out of the vehicle as the patrol unit was approaching from the rear. Discarded were a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine as well as baggies used to package the drug. The occupants were cited and released.

09/23 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 100 block of Briarwood Road: At 7:04 p.m. an officer responded to a report of an emotionally disturbed person. On arrival the officer made contact with two females. One of the females was holding the other female's (her sister) bandaged arm in the air. The sisters had been arguing, and one of them grabbed a kitchen knife and cut her own wrist. Medics responded and transported the injured female to JPS Hospital. An officer also responded and took the injured female for an emergency mental detention.

09/24 - Secured Property - 5000 block of U.S. 287 Service Road: At 2:55 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the car, the officer observed a handgun in plain view/reach of the driver. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle and was secured until a back-up unit could arrive. The driver had two warrants from Kaufman County and was arrested. The handgun was placed in property and evidence for safekeeping. The driver was transported to the Mansfield jail for booking.

09/25 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 11:22 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle was occupied by four persons. During the course of the stop and interview two of the occupants were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia related to the use of methamphetamine. The suspects were charged with the contraband.

09/27 - Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle - 300 block of Bowles Court: At 12:02 a.m. an officer observed a known offender driving a motorcycle on a public roadway. The officer was aware that the suspect did not have a motorcycle endorsement on his license. Upon contacting the suspect, who stopped the motorcycle in the front yard of a house, the officer discovered that the motorcycle was stolen out of Fort Worth. The suspect was arrested and transported to Mansfield for booking.

09/27 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 1000 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 5:50 p.m. an officer stopped to assist a motorist who was stranded in the roadway. Upon contacting the driver, it was determined that he was wanted for several warrants out of Fort Worth. The driver was arrested for the warrants. During a consent search of the vehicle the officer also located marijuana paraphernalia in the vehicle. A citation was issued and the driver was transported to the Mansfield jail.

09/27 - Burglary - 900 block of Shady Vale Drive: At 9:16 p.m. an officer responded to a burglar alarm at a residence. On arrival it was discovered that the home had in fact been illegally entered by person(s) unknown. The homeowner arrived shortly afterward and verified that a safe was missing from the residence. The safe contained a number of items including coins and jewelry.
