10/05 - Assault (Family Member) - 800 block of Woodland Court: At 11:05 a.m. officers responded to a reported domestic assault. A female victim reported that she and her husband had gotten into a verbal altercation that escalated into his getting physical with her. The suspect grabbed the victim by the throat and impeded her breathing for several seconds before pushing her to the ground. The victim was able to go outside the residence and call for police. The suspect was arrested and transported to Mansfield for booking.
10/06 - Vehicle Burglary - 300 block of Mistletoe Drive: At 9:40 a.m. a victim reported to police that person(s) unknown had entered her vehicle during the overnight hours and removed an electronic scanner. The vehicle was unlocked and was parked in front of her residence.
10/06 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 6:32 p.m. a victim reported to police that her son's IPhone 5S had been stolen from the junior high school locker room. The victim stated that her son placed the phone in his pants pocket before football practice and left his clothing/back pack in an unsecured area. After practice was over the phone was missing. The victim was able to identify a possible suspect. The phone is valued at $700.00.
10/06 - Burglary - 5800 block of E. I-20: At 7:34 p.m. a victim reported that her business had been burglarized. Person(s) unknown entered the business and removed a computer monitor, refrigerator, and tools. Value was placed at $443.90.
10/06 - Assault (Family Member) - 500 block of North Road: At 11:05 p.m. officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance. On arrival officers met with a female who stated that her boyfriend had assaulted her during an argument and had choked her by the throat, impeding her breathing ability. The suspect had fled before officers arrived.
10/07 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 500 block of North Road: At 2:01 a.m. officers were dispatched to another disturbance call at the same address as above. The female victim reported that she had an injured right arm due to another assault by the suspect. The suspect was on scene at this time and was placed under arrest. He was transported to Mansfield for booking. Kennedale EMS transported the victim to JPS Hospital for treatment.
10/08 - Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information - 300 block of Hilltop Drive: At 11:31 a.m. a victim reported that his identity had been stolen and used to open a number of unauthorized accounts in his name. The victim was unaware of how the suspect(s) would have obtained his information.
10/08 - Aggravated Assault (Family Member) - 300 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 4:58 p.m. officers were dispatched to a reported assault by a family member. The victim reported that he had been assaulted by his sister during an argument. The victim was struck with a metallic object that caused a head wound. The suspect was arrested for the assault as well as a probation violation warrant from Dallas County.
10/08 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 100 block of E. Broadway Street: At 7:03 p.m. an officer received a report of a stolen air conditioner unit. The unit, valued at $7000.00 was stolen from a church by unknown person(s).
10/09 - Criminal Mischief - $1,500 to $20,000 - 5600 block of E. I-20: At 11:36 a.m. an officer received a report of a criminal mischief. Person(s) unknown cut through two telephone cables in an attempt to enter a vacant building. Damage was estimated to be in excess of $10,000.00.
10/09 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 3:30 p.m. an officer received a report of stolen fiber optic cable. Person(s) unknown removed approximately $20,000.00 worth of cable from an underground location. This may be related to a report earlier in the day of damaged cables during a burglary attempt.
10/09 - Sexual Assault - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 2:59 p.m. an officer received an abuse report. Two siblings reported that their deceased mother had been taken to a hospital in early September for unresponsiveness. The victim, an Alzheimer's patient, showed injuries consistent with a sexual assault. The complainants believed that the victim's husband was responsible for the injuries. Adult Protective Services opened a case file and prevented the victim from returning home. The victim was transported to a nursing home where she passed away a few weeks later. The case is still under investigation.
10/10 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 700 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 10:14 p.m. an officer received a report of a stolen vehicle and tools valued at $2,524.00. The vehicle and tools were taken after hours by a known suspect. A video of the offense was available.
