12/07 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 300 block of New Hope Road: At 3:25 p.m. officers received a report of a theft. Two persons, a male and a female, knocked on the victim's door and represented themselves as city employees. Once they were inside the home, the female distracted the homeowner while the male removed $1,245.00 in jewelry from the home. The suspects left in a white sedan.

12/08 - Credit/Debit Card Abuse - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 2:04 p.m. a victim contacted police to report that her debit card number was used to make two purchases in Arizona. The victim had no idea how her number was obtained but had been on vacation in Colorado and New Mexico recently. The purchases totaled $159.74.

12/09 - Theft $50 to $500 - 1000 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 3:54 p.m. a victim reported a firearm missing from a business. The weapon, a .22 Magnum revolver, was removed from a desk drawer. A former employee is suspected.

12/10 - Found Property - 5700 block of Eden Road: At 9:40 a.m. a citizen turned in a remote start key fob that was found by the side of the road. The owner's name was attached. The owner was contacted and retrieved the fob at the police department.

12/10 - Theft $50 to $500 - 300 block of Broadway Street: At 10:06 a.m. a landlord reported that his roommate, who was being evicted from his home, had stolen several hundred dollars of his personal property.

12/11 - Sexual Assault of a Child - 200 block of Village Street: A detective received a report from CPS about a possible child sexual assault. A case was opened and remains under investigation.

12/11 - Assault (Family Member) - 900 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 8:15 a.m. on 12/01/2014, an Arlington School Resource Officer took a report of an assault of a special needs student at Bowie High School. The assault allegedly took place at a group home where the student lives. The group home turned out to be in Kennedale and the report was forwarded to detectives here.

12/11 - Criminal Mischief $50 to $500 - 5200 block of E. Kennedale Sublett Road: At 7:33 p.m. an officer responded to a criminal mischief report. A driver had her vehicle damaged while driving on Sublett Road. Several males were standing near the road when one of them threw an object into the roadway, striking her car. The object caused paint damage to the bumper. The suspect ran away but two of the males were caught and identified at the high school nearby. The males named the suspect, who is a Kennedale Junior High School student who lives in Arlington. The case is under investigation.

12/11 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 700 block of Averitt Road: At 8:22 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the interview the driver admitted to possession of a marijuana pipe and turned the item over to the officer. She was cited for the pipe and the traffic violation.

12/12 - Assault Bodily Injury - 200 block of S. New Hope Road: At 10:00 p.m. officers responded to a reported assault. A 34 year old female reported that she had been assaulted by a 62 year old male neighbor during an argument over a cell phone. Visible injuries on the victim were consistent with her story. The victim gave a statement but the suspect was not on scene when the officers arrived.
