12/22 - Vehicle Burglary - 600 block of Briar Court: At 11:15 a.m. a victim reported that he had tools stolen from the bed of his 2010 Ford pickup truck. The vehicle was parked at the victim's residence. Person(s) unknown removed tools and a pressure washer during the overnight hours. The items were valued at $998.00.

12/23 - Marijuana Possession - 5600 block of E. I-20: At 5:13 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle was occupied by three males. During the stop and interview the officer could smell an odor of marijuana in the vehicle. Closer inspection revealed that there was marijuana in two cups sitting in the passenger area of the vehicle. One of the males admitted to possessing the narcotic and was arrested. One of the other males was arrested for outstanding warrants from Arlington. The vehicle was released to the third passenger.

12/24 - DWI/Aggravated Assault - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:30 p.m. an officer observed a 1991 Acura pull onto Third Street from Kennedale Parkway. The vehicle appeared to be pulling over to the side of the street when a 2004 Dodge truck turned onto Third Street and drove straight into the rear bumper of the Acura. The Acura drove away and the truck was stopped by an officer who observed the incident. The Acura was stopped by a second officer who had been called to assist. The truck driver, a 48 year old male (suspect), appeared to be intoxicated and was highly agitated at the occupants of the other vehicle. The driver of the Acura stated that the tuck had struck them in the rear on Loop 820 in Fort Worth and didn't stop. When the Acura driver tried to follow the truck for a license plate number the suspect then re-positioned as though to strike the Acura again. Both vehicles exited at Kennedale Parkway and drove to the location where the officer observed the truck strike the car. The suspect was arrested for aggravated assault and DWI, and was transported to JPS Hospital for treatment after complaining of injury. Blood was drawn at the hospital and the suspect was released at the scene pending further treatment by medical authorities. A warrant will be issued for his arrest at a later date.

12/25 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 1300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 3:33 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop the officer detected an odor of marijuana in the vehicle. The officer located marijuana paraphernalia and cited the driver. He was then released. All items were placed in evidence.

12/25 - Hit and Run Accident - 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 2:55 p.m. a victim reported that his 2009 Dodge truck was struck during the overnight hours. The truck was legally parked in a parking space at an apartment complex when it was hit. The damage was estimated at $2,400.00.

12/25 - Vehicle Burglary - 1000 block of Cydnie Street: AT 4:16 p.m. a victim reported that his tool box was stolen from the bed of his truck. The vehicle was parked at a construction site and the box was stolen during the daylight hours. It was valued at $280.00.

12/25 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 500 block of Dick Price Road: At 4:15 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle had been observed earlier at a known hangout for narcotics users. During the interview and stop the officer discovered marijuana paraphernalia. The items were seized as evidence and the driver cited. He was released at the scene.

12/27 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 700 block of Woodland Court: AT 12:15 p.m. officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance. A 57 year old male victim reported being assaulted by his 47 year old wife. The wife is reported to have mental health issues and was under a temporary protective order at one time. The victim stated he is trying to have the order reinstated with permanent status. The victim had injuries consistent with his story of the assault. The female was arrested and transported to JPS for mental evaluation.
