01/26 - Burglary - 600 block of Fawn Meadow: At 6:13 p.m. a victim reported to officers that her home was burglarized during the day while she was at work. The suspect(s) kicked open the front door, causing $200.00 in damage to the frame. The suspect(s) removed several electronic items with a total value of $2,020.00.
01/29 - Missing Person - 200 block of Oak Ridge Trail: At 12:11 a.m. a father reported his twin 17 year old daughters as missing. The twins were last seen at the Kennedale Library at 6:30 p.m. on 01/28/2015. They were to return home when finished. When the parents returned home at 11:30 p.m. the girls were not there. The parents had no idea where they were. They twins were entered into the national database as runaways.
01/30 - Theft of Materials - 500 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:09 a.m. a victim reported that suspect(s) cut a hole in his fence and entered the property. The suspect(s) took 400 feet of copper wire valued at $400.00.
01/30 - Assault by Contact - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 2:05 p.m. a 19 year old victim reported that his 45 year old father had assaulted him. The victim stated that his grandmother, who lives in Kennedale, asked him to dispose of a large amount of metal on the property. The father/suspect confronted the victim and accused him of stealing the material. The suspect shoved the victim several times. During the confrontation the suspect made statements to the victim of his (suspect) taking a custom car wheel that belonged to the victim. The victim discovered that the wheel, valued at $300.00, was missing. The victim reported the offenses at the police department. The suspect had departed the residence before the victim came to the police building.
01/30 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 7:23 a.m. officers responded to a male sleeping in a vehicle. On arrival the officers found a 39 year old male asleep in the driver seat of a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado truck. The male was awakened and interviewed by the officers. The male stated that he had been drinking heavily the evening before and decided to sleep off the alcohol in his vehicle. During the interview it was discovered that the male was in possession of a prescription narcotic (Xanax) without a prescription. He was arrested and transported to the Mansfield jail for booking.
