03/17 - Burglary - 700 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 8:32 a.m. an officer took a burglary report. The victim, who is housesitting for a relative, came home to find that person(s) unknown had forced entry to the home and gone through the cabinets. Nothing was missing except possibly a checkbook.
03/18 - Aggravated Assault - 300 block of S. New Hope Road: At 10:30 p.m. officers responded to a reported assault. The victim, a 51-year-old male, was attempting to enter the home from the backyard in order to use the bathroom. The victim is living out of a vehicle in the back yard. The homeowner, a 62-year-old male, became angry and slammed the sliding door on the victim's hand, severing part of his left middle finger. The homeowner also struck the victim in the face twice during the ensuing verbal argument over the injury. The victim was treated by KFD Fire/Rescue and the homeowner was arrested for aggravated assault. He was booked into jail.
03/19 - Forgery - 600 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 10:25 a.m. a victim reported that an attempt was made to pass a forged company check. The bank discovered the mistake and prevented the fraud from completion. The victim has no idea how the check was procured.
03/20 - Obstructing a Highway - 200 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 2:30 a.m. an officer discovered a 31-year-old male passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle while stopped in the roadway. The male appeared to be under the influence of some type of substance but not alcohol. He was unable to coherently speak to the officer and was placed under arrest. He was booked into jail.
03/20 - Theft $50 to $500 - 400 block of Linda Road: At 10:55 a.m. a victim reported that an engine block valued at $500.00 was removed from her property. It was taken without her consent.
