03/22 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 700 block of Dick Price Road: At 1:13 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon contacting and interviewing the 28 year old male driver, a consent search of the car was conducted. Both marijuana and cocaine were found in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

03/22 - Hit and Run Accident - 600 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:35 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a hit and run accident. The vehicle, a Dodge Nitro, was stopped in the traffic lane behind a white Ford truck, waiting for a traffic light. The truck suddenly backed up into the Nitro and then sped off. The victim reported that the truck operator looked in the mirror after making contact and before driving away. The Nitro did exhibit front end damage consistent with the victim's story. The license plate number of the suspect vehicle was obtained by the victim. It is unknown why the suspect decided to back up.

03/23 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 7000 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: An officer responded to a tow company's lot on E. Kennedale Parkway in regards to a recovered stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a 1972 Chevrolet truck, was stolen from a location in Fort Worth in December of 2010. It is unknown where the towing company took possession of it.

03/23 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane: At 4:07 p.m. an officer responded to a domestic disturbance. On arrival it was discovered that a 10 year old child who resides at the residence was out of control and assaulting family members. The child was taken to Cook Children's Hospital for an emergency mental detention.

03/23 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 700 block of Woodland Court: At 6:15 p.m. officers responded to a report of an emotionally disturbed person threatening to harm herself. On arrival the officers were contact by the father of the victim. The father stated that his 13 year old daughter had threatened to harm herself with a kitchen knife during a disagreement about changing school districts. When questioned, the female did not have a knife on her. There was evidence that the female had been in possession of a knife before officers arrived and had threatened self harm a number of times in the past. She was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention/evaluation.

03/24 - Aggravated Robbery - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:05 p.m. officers responded to a robbery call. The victims reported that an unknown male had assaulted one of them while he (the male victim) sat in the vehicle waiting for his friends to exit a store. The suspect struck the male victim in the face several times and removed a cell phone belonging to the female vehicle owner/victim. The victims followed the suspect to a known residence two blocks away and confronted him. The suspect drew a knife and the victims left to call police. The victims made written statements and were shown a photo lineup to pick out the suspect. The case is still under investigation.

03/26 - Identity Theft - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 11:15 a.m. a victim reported that her identity had been used by unknown person(s) to open credit accounts. The victim's husband's information was also used to open accounts.

03/26 - Child Endangerment - 100 block of Peachtree Court: A detective received a report from Child Protective Services in regards to a 26 year old female using marijuana while pregnant. The reporting person was concerned as the mother has delivered the baby and intended to continue using marijuana while nursing the child. After consulting with the District Attorney's Crimes Against Children unit, it was determined that no offense exists at this time. The case will remain open.

03/27 - Forgery - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 8:30 a.m. a victim reported that her identity had been used to file a false IRS tax return.

03/27 - Abandoned Property - 1100 block of Parkview Trail: An officer on the evening shift observed a girls bicycle next to the roadway. A check with neighbors revealed no one knew who it belonged to and it had been left for over 24 hours. The bike was placed in property for safekeeping until the owner can be located.
