05/17 - Animal Bite - 500 block of North Road: At 8:55 a.m. officers were dispatched to a report of an animal bite. A 9 year old male victim reported being bitten by one of four dogs running loose. The owner was contacted and stated that the animals were not licensed with the city. Citations were issues and the animals were confined. Animal Control was notified.
05/18 - Abandoned Vehicle - 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue: At 2:10 a.m. an officer located a vehicle in the traffic lane of the roadway. The ignition lock had been tampered with but the vehicle was not reported stolen. The owner could not be contacted. The vehicle was impounded for safe keeping and to clear the roadway.
05/18 - Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information - 300 block of Arthur Drive: At 10:40 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) used his credit/debit card to make several unauthorized purchases in Denton County.
05/18 - Abandoned/Found Property - 600 block of Fawn Meadow Trail: At 6:40 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a found license plate. The reporting person had found the plate in the street. A check of the registration showed the plate had been reported stolen in Fort Worth but returned to the address that the officer was sent to. The plate apparently fell off of the reporting person's husband's vehicle and he reported it stolen to Fort Worth police. Fort Worth police were notified and the plate was cleared from the stolen file.
05/20 - Criminal Mischief $50 to $500 - 1300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:31 a.m. a victim reported that the lights at the entry way to his business were damaged overnight. The victim stated that a homeless female had tried to enter the business the night before after closing time. He would not let her in and she became irate. The female left stating that she was going to "bust out his windows." The next morning the victim discovered the damaged lights. A female was located on a property next door to the business and admitted to handling the lights out of curiosity and breaking them accidentally. She was identified and issued a criminal trespass warning per the victim. The case was referred to investigators.
05/20 - Criminal Trespass - 6800 block of Oak Crest Drive: At 8:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a trespasser. The officers observed a 53 year old male inside the fenced area of the business. The male was arrested and charge with criminal trespass as well as warrants from Forest Hill and Fort Worth. He was transported to jail without incident.
05/21 - Burglary - 800 block of Valley Lane: At 4:41 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a burglary. Person(s) unknown had entered a closed business during the last week and removed several large pieces of equipment. The building is no longer an operational business and the equipment was being stored. .
05/22 - Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information - 1200 block of Cross Creek Drive: A victim reported to police that her identifying information had been used to file a fraudulent tax return. The victim's spouse had reported the same offense using his information last week.
05/22 - Assault by Contact - 100 block of E. Mistletoe: At 4:30 p.m. an officer took a report of assault by contact. The victim, a 12 year old female, was sexually harassed by a 12 year old male while at school. The male made unwanted contact and comments to the victim. When it was reported to the school, the victim's mother stated that it wasn't handled in a manner that she thought was appropriate. The case has been referred to school resource officers.
