07/05 - Burglary - 600 block of Grapevine Trail: At 4:56 p.m. a victim reported that his business had been burglarized overnight. Person(s) unknown cut through a security fence and entered two buildings. Items taken included bank checks and shop tools. No value was given.

07/06 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 1200 block of Little School Road: At 5:43 p.m. a victim reported a theft from an electronics store. The victim/manager reported that a male entered the store and looked around at various items. When no one was looking the male cut a tablet valued at $703.62 from a display and walked out. The manager observed the male leaving but was unable to stop him. The suspect entered a brown Buick Regal occupied by two other males. The suspects left the scene before officers arrived but a customer secured a license plate number.

07/07 - Credit/Debit Card Abuse - 300 block of Fountain Court: At 5:58 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown obtained the number to his American Express card and used it to make $915.04 in on-line purchases. The purchases were stopped before they shipped. The address used for delivery is located in Kennedale. The victim had physical possession of the card and has no idea how the number was obtained.

07/09 - Credit/Debit Card Abuse - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 2:15 p.m. an officer took a report of credit/debit card abuse. A complainant stated that his incapacitated mother's purse was taken by a family member and the debit card used to purchase $1,122.70 in unauthorized transactions. The family member was contacted via text message by the complainant but refused to return the stolen items.

07/09 - Burglary - 500 block of Sublett Road: A victim reported that a shed on the business property was broken into. Person(s) unknown removed a weed eater and chain saw. The items were valued at $409.00.

07/09 - Abandoned/Found Property - 500 block of Sublett Road: At 9:09 p.m. an officer met with two complainants who found a bicycle in the ditch off of the roadway. The bicycle did not show to be stolen and was placed in property for safe keeping.

07/10 - Burglary - 6300 block of Tealpond Drive: At 10:51 a.m. a victim reported that a maintenance building was entered by person(s) unknown. Several building maintenance tools valued at $1,870.59 were removed.

07/10 - Forgery - 1100 block of Swiney Hiett Road: At 3:10 p.m. a victim reported that several thousand dollars worth of forged checks were cashed on her bank account. The victim reported that she believes the forged checks were made and cashed by a service person who did work at her home.

07/10 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 100 block of Dick Price Road: At 9:50 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A victim reported that he was assaulted by his wife during an argument. The wife appeared to be intoxicated. She was arrested for the assault and booked into jail.

07/11 - Theft $20,000 to $100,000 - 600 block of North Road: AT 3:24 a.m. a victim reported that several company vehicles had been burglarized and a vehicle stolen from the business property. The stolen vehicle contained a GPS system that was able to be tracked in real time. The GPS data indicated the vehicle had been stolen at 1:20 a.m. and was currently parked at an address in Mansfield. As officers were responding to the address the vehicle began moving, entering Johnson County. The Johnson County Sheriff's Office was notified about the vehicle traveling toward Alvarado. As the information was being relayed to the sheriff's office dispatch, Alvarado police were contacted. Alvarado officers were able to get the vehicle stopped. The suspects were taken into custody without incident and the property recovered.

07/11 - Burglary - 5800 block of E. IH 20: At 12:54 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown entered her business and removed a 28" television valued at $300.00. Also taken was a tool box with $100.00 in tools.
