08/02 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 900 block of Harrison Drive: At 12:26 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle parked at the curb on Harrison Drive. The vehicle, a red truck, had a trailer attached. Standing beside the vehicle and trailer were two males known to the officer to have been involved in narcotics and theft offenses in the past. The male who owned the vehicle also had arrest warrants out of Mansfield P.D. During the interview the male was arrested for the Mansfield warrants. He stated that the trailer belonged to his father and was not stolen. A check of the trailer showed it to be stolen out of Everman. The male was arrested for the stolen trailer as well and was transported to jail. He was booked in without incident. The trailer was seized as evidence. A number of large power tools were present on the trailer, none of which showed to be stolen through a computer check. The male stated that he had picked up the tools at the same time and place as the trailer. All items were seized for safekeeping until a more thorough check could be conducted on if they were stolen or not. .

08/03 - Burglary - 300 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 5:08 p.m. a victim reported that a storage shed on his property had been entered. Person(s) unknown cut two padlocks off of the building and opened the doors. Nothing appeared to be missing at the time of the report.

08/03 - Incident - 4900 block of Little School Road: At 10:04 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. On contacting the female driver, the officer noticed that the vehicle had a license plate but no windshield sticker. The male passenger stated that the vehicle, a Dodge Challenger, was not registered and the plate displayed was for a previous vehicle that he owned. A computer check of both subjects showed active multiple warrants out of Crowley and Fort Worth. Both were arrested and transported to jail for booking. The vehicle and plate were impounded.

08/04 - Possession of Marijuana - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane: At 1:31 a.m. an officer observed two suspicious persons exit a vehicle parked in a driveway. As the two suspects exited the vehicle, heavy smoke was observed coming from inside. On contact with the two, a male and female, the officer discovered marijuana sitting in plain view on the vehicle console. Both were initially placed under arrest but it was later determined that the male was the possessor of the drug. The female was released and the male was transported to jail for booking. The drugs were placed in evidence.

08/04 - Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information - 1100 block of Fawn Meadow Trail: At 11:30 a.m. a man and his wife reported that their identities had been used to file fraudulent tax returns.

08/04 - Criminal Mischief $50 to $500 - 500 block of North Road: At 7:38 p.m. a victim reported that her mobile home had been damaged. Person(s) unknown caused damage to the decorative skirting and broke the wooden stairs leading to the front door. The damage estimate was placed at $500.00.

08/05 - Hit and Run Accident - 6300 block of Tealcove Drive: At 9:24 a.m. a victim reported that his gray Ford Taurus had been damaged while parked. Person(s) unknown struck the left front fender and headlight before leaving the scene. The damage occurred during the overnight hours.

08/06 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 1000 block of Ohio Court: At 5:30 p.m. officers responded to a domestic assault. The victim, a 61 year old male, stated that his 52 year old wife had attacked him earlier in the day. The wife had left the scene with her parents before officers were called. The victim reported that his wife is a narcotics user and is prone to violent outbursts.

08/06 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:37 p.m. officers responded to a business for an emotionally disturbed person. The male had walked into the business stated that he was feeling "suicidal" and needed an ambulance. Officers responded with the ambulance and checked the male for weapons. He was checked by paramedics and it was determined that he should be transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental evaluation. After arriving at the hospital the male appeared to become calmer. A nurse took him to obtain a urine sample and returned the male to the treatment room. The male began to have breathing difficulty and stated to the officer that he had ingested methamphetamine while in the bathroom. The male became agitated to the point that he had to be restrained and given breathing assistance. He was admitted to the hospital for evaluation.

08/07 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 7100 block of E. I-20: At 3:13 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. During the interview the female driver appeared nervous and stated that she had been to prison for auto theft. During a consent search of the vehicle, the officer located a bag containing methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke the drug. The female was arrested for the drugs and transported to jail for booking. The contraband was placed in evidence.

08/07 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 401 Municipal Drive: At 11:47 a.m. an officer received a report of a domestic assault. The reporting person/victim was the wife of victim in the reported assault that occurred on Ohio Court on 08/06/2015. The victim stated that she had been assaulted by her husband when he pushed her to the floor and struck her in the hip several times with his foot. She stated that she left and didn't report the assault at the time because she didn't want to get her husband in trouble.

08/07 - Seized Property - 1100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:06 p.m. a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. During the stop it was determined that the license plate did not belong on the vehicle. The 23 year old driver stated that the plate was on the car when he bought it. The plate was seized and placed in evidence after the driver was issued several citations.

08/08 - Engage in Organized Criminal Activity - 1000 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:11 p.m. a victim reported that her business had been defrauded of several hundred dollars by a former employee. The employee, who was no longer employed, had gotten a number of receipts used by the business in its metal recycling section. The employee, along with several of his friends and family, had been presenting bogus receipts for payment as though they had been recycling metal. The case remains under investigation.
