08/09 - Vehicle Burglary - 900 block of Sunrise Drive: At 9:25 a.m. victims reported that person(s) unknown entered their unlocked vehicle overnight and removed a .380 handgun. The weapon was located in the center console of the vehicle, which was parked in the driveway. The pistol was valued at $245.00.

08/09 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 100 block of Joplin Road: At 7:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to a suicidal person. The attempt was disrupted by the victim's brother. The victim was conscious on arrival and had left a note indicating his intent. The victim was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental evaluation.

08/12 - Burglary - 6800 block of Oakcrest Drive East: At 7:16 p.m. a victim reported that her rental property had been burglarized. Person(s) unknown had entered the property and removed copper wiring from the home. Repairs were estimated at $400.00.

08/13 - Public Intoxication - 800 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:35 p.m. officers were dispatched to an intoxicated person at a business in the 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway. While responding, an officer observed the reported suspect walking away from the scene. The suspect was a known person to the officer and has been handled numerous times for intoxication and assaultive offenses. The suspect was intoxicated and was arrested. He was transported to jail for booking.

08/13 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:53 a.m. officers responded to a reported robbery in progress. Reporting persons stated that an unknown suspect entered the business and walked to a cash register. The suspect then opened the register and removed an unknown amount of money. The suspect ran out of the building and off of the property. An employee gave chase but could not keep up with the suspect. A video of the offense was available.

08/13 - Harassment - 6900 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 11:20 a.m. a victim reported that her ex-boyfriend is sending threatening messages to her through her cell phone.

08/13 - Hit and Run Injury Accident (Pedestrian) - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 6:14 p.m. a victim reported that she was walking in the parking area of her place of employment. The victim had placed trash in a dumpster. As she returned to the office area a vehicle backed out of a parking space and struck her on the hip. The victim shouted at the driver, who stopped and then exited the parking lot without stopping. The victim complained of pain but did not want medical attention at the time.

08/13 - Assault (Elderly/Disabled) - 300 block of Bowles Court: At 3:00 p.m. a 69 year old female victim reported to police that her 22 year old grandson had assaulted her earlier in the day. The victim was assaulted with a power cord from a fan as well as being kicked by the suspect, who had immediately fled the scene. The victim, who displayed injuries consistent with her report, requested an emergency protective order to prevent the suspect from coming back on to the property.

08/14 - Burglary - 300 block of Springbranch Lane: At 11:49 p.m. a victim reported that a known person entered her home and removed a debit card along with other identifying information. The victim provided information on the possible suspect.

08/14 - Public Intoxication - 200 block of S. New Hope Road: At 12:25 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance. Reporting persons advised that a suspect had been drinking heavily and creating problems. The suspect had left the property and the complainants did not want him back. As officers were on the call two males approached the residence from a park next door. One of the males smelled strongly of alcoholic beverage and was belligerent toward the officers, threatening to assault them. He was finally handcuffed and placed in a patrol unit for transport. The suspect was transported to jail but continued to be verbally abusive toward the transport officer.

08/14 - Theft $50 to $500 - 4300 block of Danny Drive: At 2:30 p.m. an officer responded to a theft complaint. Person(s) unknown had entered the victim's property to remove a swing and an aluminum ladder. Tracks from an ATV were located at the scene.

08/15 - Assault by Contact - 500 block of North Road: At 10:11 p.m. officers responded to a fight in progress. On arrival contact was made with the male victim. The victim stated that he observed a vehicle speeding through the area and yelled for the driver to slow down. A female suspect was a passenger in the vehicle and exited to confront the victim. She assaulted him and then went into a residence nearby. The assault was confirmed by a witness. The suspect was located and interviewed on the scene. The suspect smelled of alcoholic beverage and appeared to be intoxicated. She was cited for assault by contact due to the lack of injuries to the victim.

08/15 - Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 6700 block of Hudson Village Creek Road: At 11:05 p.m. officers responded to a stolen vehicle report. The victim reported that his 2001 Dodge Ram truck was stolen from the parking lot of Kennedale Speedway. The victim locked the truck and had the keys in his possession. A short time later officers responded to an abandoned suspicious vehicle in the same area. The vehicle, also a Dodge truck, was reported stolen out of Fort Worth. Officers are investigating if a connection exists between the abandoned vehicle and the missing truck.
