08/16 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 7200 block of Bloxom Park Road: At 12:50 a.m. officers were dispatched to a report of a Dodge truck with a broken rear window. On arrival it was determined that the truck had been previously stolen out of Fort Worth. The stolen vehicle had been abandoned close to the location of an earlier theft of a Dodge truck from Kennedale Speedway. It was later determined that the two were stolen by the same suspect when he was caught driving the Kennedale stolen vehicle a day later by the Tri-County Auto Theft Task Force.
08/16 - Medical Call - 6700 block of Oak Crest Drive: At 1:01 p.m. officers were dispatched to a person in distress. On arrival, a 54 year old male was seated in a vehicle and was disoriented about where he was or where he came from. The victim did not appear to be intoxicated or on drugs. He was transported to the hospital by medics and the vehicle was impounded for safe-keeping.
08/17 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 300 block of W. Mistletoe Drive: At 3:14 a.m. officers responded to a medical call on an attempted suicide. A 64 year old female had taken an overdose of prescription pills in an attempt to harm herself. The female admitted to the attempt. She was transported to JPS Hospital for treatment and an emergency mental evaluation.
08/17 - Theft $$50 to $500 - 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:41 a.m. an officer responded to a reported theft. The victim had video of three males entering the property overnight and removing a shop cart. The suspects also cut locks off of several storage trailers but did not take anything.
08/17 - Theft of Materials - 400 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 8:23 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown entered the property overnight and removed copper wiring that was being stored for recycling. The offense was captured on video but the victim was unable to access it at the time of the report. The video will be available later.
08/17 - Burglary - 400 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:32 a.m. a victim reported that a Ford truck was stolen during the overnight hours from his business. The truck theft was captured on video. The truck was later recovered when a suspect was arrested driving another stolen truck from Kennedale. The same suspect was responsible for the stolen vehicle at Kennedale Speedway last week and the abandoned stolen truck in Bloxom Park.
08/17 - Theft $1,400 to $20,000 - 400 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:50 p.m. a victim reported that two of his security cameras had been stolen overnight. The business is a car lot and two vehicles were entered but nothing was taken. It is possible that the suspects intended to return for a theft later but did not do so.
08/17 - Investigation - 1000 block of Ohio Court: At 4:15 p.m. officers responded to a report of exposed bones that were found in a cemetery. The Medical Examiner's officer confirmed that the bones were not human.
08/18 - Domestic Disturbance - 100 block of Pine Meadow: At 9:00 p.m. officer responded to a domestic assault. A 53 year old female reported that she was assaulted physically by her 47 year old husband. The victim believed the suspect to be high on methamphetamine at the time of the assault. After assaulting the victim, the suspect left the scene and did not return. The victim displayed bruising consistent with her story.
08/18 - Burglary - 400 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:27 p.m. a victim reported that his home was broken into while he was gone. Person(s) unknown removed tools valued at $209.00.
08/18 - Assault by Contact - 500 block of North Road: At 11:00 p.m. an officer responded to Cook Children's Hospital for a sexual assault of a child. The victim, a five year old female, had reportedly been sexually assaulted by a juvenile family member. Further investigation revealed the alleged sexual offense to have taken place in another city. CPS was contacted and the case will be forwarded to the appropriate agency for follow-up.
08/20 - Criminal Mischief $1,500 to $20,000 - 6800 block of Oak Crest Drive: At 3:15 p.m. a victim reported that his 1947 Hudson vehicle had been damaged by a known male subject. The vehicle paint was scratched by the alleged suspect.
08/20 - Missing Person - 400 block of 4th Street: At 7:32 p.m. officers responded to a reported missing elderly person. The missing person was discovered on a nearby property and returned to care givers.
08/21 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 800 block of Woodland Court: At 10:43 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A 36 year old male had assaulted his 33 year old girlfriend over an accusation that the girlfriend had had sexual relations with the male's juvenile son. The girlfriend denied the accusations. The male was arrested as the female had injuries consistent with the reported assault.
08/22 - Aggravated Assault (Firearm) - 200 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 6:03 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female victim, age 23, stated that she and her 24 year old husband were separated. The victim reported that she and their two children had moved into her parents' home. The victim advised that her husband (the suspect) has been harassing her by calling her at work and by text message. Today the suspect drove into the driveway of the home with an 18 year old female he has been dating. The suspect exited the vehicle and the victim stated that he was not to have the children or enter the home. The suspect pushed the victim out of the way and to the ground, causing visible injury. The suspect was also ordered not to enter the home by the homeowner (the victim's mother). The suspect forced his way in and picked up both children to leave. As he was walking them to his vehicle the victim's father and two brothers heard the commotion and confronted the suspect. During the altercation that followed, the suspect pushed the victim down again, causing one of the brothers to use a stun gun on him. The suspect then took a 9mm handgun from his vehicle and pointed it at multiple people. He entered his vehicle and left the scene as officers were being called. The suspect lives in another city and will be arrested when a warrant is issued.
