08/23 - Violation of Protective Order - 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 12:16 a.m. a victim reported that she observed a male, who is prohibited by protective order from being on her property, enter her back yard. The male left in a vehicle before she could call police to respond. A warrant will be issued.

08/23 - Death Investigation - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:02 a.m. officers were dispatched to an investigation. A male complainant had not heard from a friend in several days. Upon arriving at the friend's mobile home, the complainant could observe the male on a couch and unresponsive to knocks at the door. Officers responded with the fire department to investigate. Kennedale fire personnel were able to open the door and found the male appeared to have been deceased for some time. The male had been recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. The medical examiner's office released the victim to family members.

08/24 - Burglary - 500 block of Sublett Road: At 8:00 a.m. a business manager reported that a storage shed had been entered and tools removed. Suspect(s) apparently scaled a fence and removed several items used in maintenance of the business and grounds. The value was placed at $2,572.00.

08/24 - Theft $500 to $1,500 - 200 block of Ruth Court: At 1:40 p.m. a victim reported a cell phone missing from her home. The phone pinged to a location in Arlington close to AT&T Stadium and was locked as stolen by the carrier. The victim was able to list a possible suspect.

08/24 - Burglary - 1000 block of Falcon Nest Drive: At 5:28 p.m. a victim reported that unknown suspect(s) entered his garage and removed an air compressor valued at $200.00. There was no forced entry found and the victim stated he may have left both his garage and the vehicle inside unlocked. The vehicle was also entered and a pair of sunglasses removed.

08/26 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 300 block of S. New Hope Road: At 5:36 a.m. officers responded to an emotionally disturbed male. The male has been diagnosed with a mental illness and was threatening to family members. The male was placed into custody and transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental evaluation.

08/26 - Vehicle Burglary - 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:21 a.m. a victim reported that a company vehicle was burglarized overnight. Unknown suspect(s) forced open the rear of the truck and removed a toolbox with $1,500.00 in tools. A section of fence was also damaged and repairs estimated at $400.00. The tool box was found still on the property and unopened.

08/26 - Vehicle Burglary - 500 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 9:05 a.m. a victim reported that his unlocked vehicle was entered overnight. Person(s) unknown removed the victim's wallet with cash and credit cards as well as $480.00 in tools.

08/27 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 1000 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:50 p.m. officers responded to an abandoned vehicle at a business. Person(s) unknown dropped the vehicle off between 10:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. The vehicle was discovered by a company employee. The vehicle, a Ford F250 truck, was confirmed as stolen out of Dallas. The truck was impounded and the owner contacted.

08/27 - Theft $50 to $500 - 6300 block of Treepoint Drive: At 9:46 p.m. a victim reported that her cell phone was stolen during a physical altercation with her boyfriend's sister. The phone is valued at $500.00.

08/28 - Burglary - 6300 block of Tealcove Drive: At 8:50 p.m. a victim reported that that her apartment had been burglarized during the daylight hours. Person(s) unknown removed two 32" televisions valued at $570.00 as well $220.00 in DVDs. Entry was forced through the front door, causing damage to the frame.

08/29 - Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon - 100 block of Briarwood Road: At 12:55 p.m. an off-duty police officer from another city contacted Kennedale police about a firearm he had purchased. The officer had been at a garage sale when a male resident of the home approached him asking if he wanted a firearm. The firearm turned out to be stolen out of Fort Worth. The off-duty officer stated he could identify the person who sold him the weapon. Officers spoke to the suspect later and he denied having possession of the firearm. The suspect also stated that he was a convicted felon. The case remains under investigation.

08/29 - Animal Bite - 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 7:00 p.m. a female reported that her five year old child had been bitten by a neighbor's dog. The neighbor provided vaccination records for the animal, which had gotten out of the front door by accident. The case was referred to Animal Services.
