09/13 - Emotionally Disturbed Person - 500 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 9:05 p.m. officers responded to an emotionally disturbed person. A 61 year old female had taken a large dosage of Xanax in an attempt to harm herself. She stated to an officer that she didn't care if she lived or died. The female was transported by ambulance to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation.
09/14 - Vehicle Burglary - 1100 block of Greenview Lane: At 5:45 a.m. a victim reported that her vehicle was entered overnight and her property taken. The vehicle was not locked.
09/14 - Burglary - 800 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:44 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown entered the business property by cutting through a chain link fence. Building entry during the overnight hours was made by removing the front door. Tools valued at $3,855.00 were taken.
09/14 - Vehicle Burglary - 1100 block of Fawn Meadow Trail: At 10:20 a.m. a victim reported that her locked vehicle had been illegally entered overnight. Person(s) unknown appeared to have pried the driver's open to gain entry. Items taken were valued at $4,734.00 and included a notebook computer and clothing. All of the items were left in plain view.
09/14 - Credit/Debit Card Abuse - 5700 block of I-20: At 12:42 p.m. a victim reported that his debit card was missing and has been used for unauthorized purchases. The cash loss is estimated at $400.00.
09/16 - Burglary - 200 block of Arthur Drive: At 3:05 p.m. a victim reported that her home was burglarized but does not know the date that the offense occurred. The victim stated that items have been missing over a period of time. The missing items include electronics and cash.
09/17 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 4700 block of S. Dick Price Road: At 1:10 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. During the interview, the 39 year old driver was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
09/17 - Illegal Dumping - 400 block of Kevin Miller Road: At 2:18 p.m. officer responded to a disturbance. A dump truck driver had dumped a load of dirt and debris on private property without the owner's consent. The driver was cited for the violation.
09/17 - Criminal Mischief Under $100 - 6300 block of Tealcove Drive: At 9:45 p.m. a victim reported that his front door was forced open. The only items missing were those belonging to a former roommate. The roommate was contacted and admitted to forcing the door open in order to obtain his property. He will be charged with damaging the door.
09/18 - Theft $100 to $750 - 600 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 11:44 a.m. a victim reported that her purse was stolen back in May during a party. She didn't report the purse stolen at the time but did cancel the credit cards. Recently checks have been showing up at different locations written on her account. No suspect information was available.
09/18 - Criminal Trespass - 100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:06 p.m. an officer responded to a criminal trespass complaint. The known suspect, 53 year old male, was located a block away and was intoxicated. A statement was obtained form the complainant and the suspect was transported to jail for booking.
09/19 - Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 3:30 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the interview the officer could smell marijuana inside of the vehicle. The driver was wanted by Tarrant County for Failure to Identify and was arrested for the warrant. During a subsequent search of the vehicle , a narcotics pipe, methamphetamine, and a handgun were found. The male driver, who is a convicted felon, was arrested and transported to jail for booking. All items were entered into evidence.
09/19 - Criminal Mischief $100 to $750 - 300 block of Autumnwood Court: At 12:01 p.m. an officer responded to a criminal mischief report. Person(s) unknown damaged the window of a back door on a residence by shooting it with a BB gun. No suspects were seen.
09/19 - Animal Cruelty - 400 block of Steeplechase Trail: At 4:34 p.m. officers responded to a call about several males harming animals. On arrival officers discovered two juveniles with an older adult male. As officers drove up, the juveniles handed the adult what appeared to be a handgun and he left without talking to officers. During the interview several turtles were found to be deceased or dying. They had been shot with an airsoft gun, which was later recovered. The adult male finally came out to speak to officers and admitted to injuring the turtles. The case will be referred to animal services for follow-up.
