10/19 - Burglary - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 3:53 a.m. officers were dispatched to a burglar alarm. On arrival officers found the rear door pried open and damage to the inside of the building and a video game. The suspect(s) left tools and clothing at the scene when they fled. The business had surveillance video but it could not be accessed at the time of the report due to the power being knocked out from damage. The items left by the suspects were seized as evidence. It is unknown how much, if any, money was taken from the store.
10/19 - Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information - 500 block of Coker Valley Drive: At 10:35 a.m. a victim reported that he was notified by the IRS that his Social Security Number had been used to file a fraudulent return. The fraud was discovered when the victim attempted to file his taxes on-line.
10/19 - Theft of Metals - 200 block of Village Street: At 1:45 p.m. a city employee reported the theft of copper wiring at the city ball fields. No value was given at the time of the report.
10.19 - Death Investigation - 6300 block of Tealpond Drive: At 4:26 p.m. officer were dispatched to a possible deceased person. On arrival a 63 year old male was observed laying on a couch. The male was confirmed to be deceased and his next-of-kin was contacted to respond. No evidence of foul play was observed at the time.
10/20 - Public Intoxication - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:40 p.m. officers were dispatched to assist the Fire Department on an unconscious male. On arrival, the 48 year-old male was conscious and talking but highly intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
10/21 - Assault by Contact - 300 block of Linda Road: At 9:56 a.m. a victim reported a domestic assault by his 17 year-old step son. The victim stated that while he was speaking to his wife about issues with the step son, the suspect hit him in the head from behind. The victim stated he felt pain and has already been injured in a previous assault by the suspect.
