03/08 – Emotionally Disturbed Person – 600 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person walking in the roadway. Officers made contact with a male subject who appeared to be mentally handicapped. A check with a nearby group home revealed that the male was a resident there. A deputy sheriff was on-scene taking a missing person report on the male. The deputy and a case worker responded but were unable to get cooperation from the male. The male became even more agitated and began running across the traffic lanes. He was stopped on the other side of Kennedale Parkway. He was secured and transported to JPS for a mental evaluation.

03/09 – Missing Person (Juvenile) – 800 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 8:46 p.m. officers responded to a runaway juvenile. The juvenile, a 13 year old female, left home after an argument with her mother. She was not located and a report was generated.

03/10 – Burglary – 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 8:30 a.m. an officer took a burglary report. Person(s) unknown pried open the lock front doors of a laundromat and attempted unsuccessfully to access the coin boxes of the machines.

03/10 – Vehicle Burglary – 6700 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 4:29 p.m. officers responded to assist a constable on a traffic stop. On arrival, the vehicle operator stated that the truck he was stopped in had been damaged by three known suspects. The suspects cut the left front tire, causing it to blow out. The operator was stopped by the constable while driving the vehicle home. The suspects also removed cash and a cell phone from the vehicle when the damage occurred.

03/10 – Assault – Bodily Injury (Family Violence) – 6800 block of Oak Crest Drive: At 7:57 p.m. officers responded to an assault. On arrival a male stated that he was a victim of an assault by a family member. The officer and the male, who appeared to be very intoxicated, went to a home in the next block. Two adult family members were present, neither of whom had been drinking. The family members stated that the intoxicated male had attempted to leave the residence in a vehicle. One of the family members stopped him and the intoxicated male tried to strike him. The family member stated that the injury was incurred as he placed the male, his uncle, on the ground. Due to the nature of the incident, no offense occurred and the other family member took the intoxicated male to a residence in Alvarado.

03/10 – Possession of Controlled Substance – 6800 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 7:17 p.m. officers went to a residence to serve a felony parole violation warrant for Assault Bodily Injury on a Public Servant. During the arrest of the suspect, officers found methamphetamine on his person. He was transported to jail for booking and charged with both offenses.

03/11 – Assault Bodily Injury – 1300 block of Gilman Road: At 1:29 p.m. a victim reported to police that he was involved in a workplace violence incident the evening before. Another employee approached the victim and an altercation occurred in which the victim was “head butted” by the suspect. Several other employees were involved in the incident as well. All were named in the report.

03/12 – Theft Under $100 – 4300 block of Danny Drive: At 3:46 p.m. a victim reported that the license plate for his utility trailer was stolen. The trailer was parked in his driveway at the time of the theft.
