04/04 – Burglary – 7000 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 8:50 a.m. a business employee reported an overnight burglary. Person(s) unknown cut a hole in the rear of the metal building and removed $1,200.00 in tools.

04/04 - Aggravated Assault (Serious Bodily Injury) – 800 block of Woodland Court: At 12:19 p.m. a victim reported to police that she was assaulted by her husband. The assault occurred the night before the report. The victim, a 30 year old female, stated that she and her 24 year old husband (suspect) were in a verbal altercation when the suspect began kicking her violently. The victim, who is pregnant, used her arm as a means to deflect the kicks. During the assault the victim’s arm was broken. She obtained treatment for the injury and then reported the assault. The suspect is on probation for an assault against the victim in 2014. The suspect left the residence after the assault and has not been heard from since. The victim made a statement and requested an Emergency Protective Order for her and the couple’s five year old child.

04/04 – Forgery – 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 1:41 p.m. a victim reported that her debit card was used without authorization to access her bank account. The victim’s debit card was missing and she could not locate it. The card was cancelled.

04/05 – Theft $2,500 to $30,000 – 600 block of Fawn Meadow Trail: At 6:59 a.m. a victim reported that his 1986 Chevrolet truck was stolen during the overnight hours. The vehicle was parked in front of his residence.

04/05 – Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information – 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 11:59 a.m. a victim reported that an unknown person used his Social Security number to file a fraudulent tax return.

04/06 – Assault Bodily Injury – 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:33 a.m. officers responded to an assault. On arrival a male victim reported that he had been assaulted with a brick by two known assailants, who were present. All parties were interviewed at the time and had conflicting stories. Medics were called to look at the victim’s injuries. The victim required medical treatment and left for the hospital. Further investigation is needed to determine the primary aggressor in this incident.

04/06 – Forgery – 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 3:18 p.m. a victim reported that a customer of her business obtained a business check and was able to access her accounts with forged checks to make withdrawals. The accounts have been closed.

04/08 – Theft Under $100 – 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:41 p.m. an employee reported that two female suspects entered his store and took two 12-packs of beer without paying. The suspects and their vehicle were photographed by the reporting person.

04/09 – DWI – 6500 block of Treepoint Drive: At 10:09 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. The driver smelled of alcoholic beverage and stated he had been drinking since 5:00 pm. The driver was unable to successfully perform a field sobriety assessment and was arrested. A subsequent breath test showed an intoxication level of 0.12. The driver was transported to jail for booking.
