04/24 – Emotionally Disturbed Person – 400 block of Linda Road: At 4:15 p.m. officers responded to a report of a suicidal person. The person, an adult male, had left the residence earlier in the day after an argument with his brother. The two brothers live in the same home. The brother had not returned but had left a note threatening to harm himself. It was unknown where he went. An area teletype was sent out in an attempt to locate the male before he harmed himself.
04/24 – Burglary – 800 block of Woodland Court: At 1:00 a.m. officers responded to a burglary call. Two adult females, a mother and daughter, arrived home to find a window broken and a blood trail through the home. The victims discovered a small amount of cash missing. A possible suspect was listed as a person of interest.
04/24 – Reckless Damage – 600 block of S. New Hope Road: On the listed date officers responded to an accident. A witness stated that a blue Chevrolet Tahoe had been in the ditch in front of his home earlier and had to be pulled out. The witness later noticed water running across his driveway from a broken water main. The Tahoe had apparently broken the water main when it drove into the muddy ditch. The vehicle and driver were later located at Texas Raceway. The driver, an adult female, was unaware of the damage and initially denied it. Her vehicle fit the witness description exactly. She was cited for damage to the water main.
04/25 – Identity Theft – 401 Municipal Drive: At 9:50 a.m. a victim reported that an unknown person applied for Texas Workforce Commission unemployment benefits using his identity. The offense occurred in 2014 but was just discovered.
04/25 – Vehicle Burglary – 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue: At 12:00 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had removed the engine control computer from his Freightliner truck. The truck had been parked for several days at a construction site due to inclement weather. Total value for the property and related damage is $5,700.00.
04/25 – Death Investigation – 500 block of North Road: AT 6:58 p.m. officers responded to a report of a non-responsive adult male. The victim was found lying in bed by his brother. The victim had a medical condition for which he was being treated. The death did not appear to involve any foul play.
04/25 – Found/Abandoned Property – 1200 block of Forest Green Drive: At 10:30 a.m. a complainant found a Sony camera in the street in front of their home. An owner could not be identified and the camera was placed in property and evidence for safe keeping until the owner is located.
04/25 – Burglary – 300 block of W. 5th Street: At 5:05 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had forced open the back door to his residence. Nothing appeared to be missing at the time of the report but entry had obviously been made. The offense occurred during the daytime hours while the resident was away.
04/26 –Threat Report – 400 block of Coker Valley Drive: An officer responded to a report of threats made to a citizen. The complainant, a female, stated that she received a call from a female identifying herself as an IRS employee. The female caller stated that the resident had an IRS arrest warrant issued. In order to take care of the warrant, the resident was advised to go to a nearby CVS and purchase $2000.00 in ITunes cards. After doing this, the resident received a call from a male who stated that he was with the IRS and that the female caller was known for stealing. He stated that he could get the $2,000.00 back for a $500.00 fee. When the resident balked and asked questions, the male caller became threatening and stated he would harm her entire family if she didn’t pay.
04/28 – Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) – 800 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 4:28 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. An adult female stated that she had been assaulted by her 13 year old daughter while driving home from a treatment facility. The juvenile has issues with mental illness and substance addictions. The juvenile was angry and agitated during the officers’ investigation. She was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation. She will be charged with the family violence assault at a later date.
04/29 – Hit and Run Accident – 1000 block of Oak Hill Park: At 8:00 a.m. a victim reported that a maroon four-door vehicle had struck his vehicle when he slowed to make a left turn. The vehicle continued to drive away after striking the victim. The victim gave a license plate number and description to the officer. The victim was not injured and the vehicle sustained minor damage.
04/28 – Assault by Threat – 800 block of Lakewood Drive: At 11:03 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female homeowner stated that two people, a male and female, were temporarily living at her home. The homeowner was missing a large amount of cash and believed that the lodgers had taken it. During their discussion an argument ensued and the lodgers were threatened by the homeowner. They removed their belongings and left the residence.
04/30 – Evading Arrest or Detention – 700 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 10:45 a.m. officers responded to a report of a suspicious person walking on the railroad right-of-way. The male was located and stopped by an officer. The male suddenly turned and ran from the officer after being told he could not leave. The male was stopped on North Road and arrested for evading detention. The male stated that he knew police wanted him for several robberies. No warrants could be located at the time of the arrest.
04/30 – Theft $100 to $750 – 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 12:10 p.m. a victim reported that his hand-held video game was stolen from his backpack while at the high school. The game was valued at $626.00.
04/30 – Reckless Damage – 100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:13 a.m. an officer responded to a minor accident. A female driver had backed out of a parking spot and struck a decorative stone located behind the curb.
