05/02 – Assault by Contact – 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:11 a.m. a victim reported that she was using an air pump station at a business when an unidentified male aggressively yanked the hose from her hands and stated that he was using the pump. The victim stated that the male’s behavior surprised and offended her. The victim was able to get a license plate of his vehicle as well as a good description.

05/02 – Theft $2,500 to $30,000 – 1200 block of N. Little School Road: At 11:35 a.m. a business manager reported that three males entered the store, an electronics sales center, and began to look around. The manager heard an alarm go off and saw that one of the suspects had cut the security wire to a cell phone. All three males cut several items loose, including phones and e-tablets, and left the building. The total value of the stolen items was $4,459.94.

05/02 – Theft $100 to $750 – 6800 Oakcrest Drive: At 8:35 p.m. a victim reported to officers that a known suspect had taken $358.00 worth of her personal clothing from her home. The suspect may have also taken the victim’s bank account information as an unauthorized transaction showed up on her bank statement.

05/05 – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 5400 block of High Ridge Street: At 8:00 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The adult driver was contacted and interviewed about the violation. During the interview the officer smelled burnt marijuana inside the vehicle, a Dodge truck. Marijuana paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle. The driver was cited and released for the traffic violation, no valid driver’s license, and the paraphernalia.

05/05 – Credit/Debit Card Abuse – 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 8:45 a.m. a victim reported that a known suspect had possibly stolen his wallet from an athletic locker at the high school. The wallet contained the victim’s driver’s license, debit card, and a gift card.

05/05 – Incident – 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: On 05/03/2016 a school resource officer was contacted by a school bus supervisor. The employee showed the officer a bus video of a known student at the junior high school pointing a black handgun toward the back of the bus. The officer notified the school administrators and the student was removed from class immediately. The student denied having a weapon. Several of the students who were present on the bus during the incident reported that the student did have a black BB pistol. The handgun was not located at the time of the report.

05/06 – Possession of Narcotics, Prohibited Weapon – 5400 block of Link Street: At 9:18 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The vehicle operator was a parolee from the Texas prison system. An adult female was in the passenger seat of the vehicle. During the interview officers located a bag of methamphetamine and some brass knuckles belonging to the female. She was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

05/07 – Abandoned/Found Property – 300 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 5:13 p.m. a wallet was turned in to police for safe keeping. A citizen had found the wallet at the post office and brought it to the police department. The owner was contacted to pick up the item and it was placed in property and evidence for safe keeping.
