05/08 – Assault by Contact – 600 block of Hilltop Court: At 7:45 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female was observed walking away from the location. The female was uncooperative with officers about what happened. She exhibited an elbow injury but stated that she fell in her yard. The female’s boyfriend was located that residence and stated that they had been drinking and got into an argument. The female was pushed by the male but he denied causing the injury. It was also determined that the female did fall in her yard, which may have caused the injury. The male was cited for the assault by contact and released.

05/08 – Assault by Contact – 200 block of Bowles Court: At 4:30 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. On arrival a male was in the yard of the residence cleaning out his vehicle. The male was angry and became threatening to officers. After calming down the male stated that he came home and wanted his wife to go with him to eat. She refused, which made him angry. During the argument, the wife struck the husband in the face but caused no injury. The wife was arrested for the assault and for a single warrant out of Kennedale. Both parties had been drinking alcohol and were hostile to officers on the scene.

05/08 – Death Investigation – 300 block of Arthur Drive: At 12:35 p.m. officers responded to a death investigation. An elderly male was found in an unresponsive state by family members. No foul play was evident or suspected as the victim had a history of serious medical issues.

05/09 – Emotionally Disturbed Person – 100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:19 a.m. officers responded to the Alternative Education building for a report of a student threatening to harm himself. The 16 year old male, who has a history of self-harm, was taken into custody and transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental evaluation.

05/09 – Terroristic Threat – 900 block of Harrison Drive: At 5:31 p.m. a victim reported that she and her family are being threatened by a known suspect. The victim had voicemails containing the threats and knew the suspect’s phone number. The investigating officer contacted the suspect, who began speaking incoherently about being in the drug trade, among other subjects. The suspect is believed to be mentally ill and the case remains open.

05/09 – Illegal Dumping – 6800 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 5:09 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown dumped a large amount of trash in his front yard. Contained within the trash were several pieces of mail with the same name and address on them. The owner could not be contacted at the time of the report and will be contacted later by investigators.

05/10 – Emotionally Disturbed Person – 300 block of W. 5th Street: At 10:05 a.m. officers responded to a report of an emotionally disturbed male threatening to harm himself. The reporting person was the male’s wife. She stated to officers that her husband had been making threats to commit “suicide by cop” and other forms of self-harm. The male was located and taken into custody for transport to JPS for a mental evaluation.

05/11 – Public Intoxication – 6700 block of Lindale Road: At 7:41 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance in a church parking lot. The witness gave a description of a female who had left the area after causing the disturbance. She was located a block away and appeared to be very intoxicated. The female, who appeared to be homeless, was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

05/14 - Public Intoxication – 6700 block of Oakcrest Drive West: At 5:09 p.m. officers responded to a female lying in the roadway. The female was located and appeared to be heavily intoxicated. She was the same female who was arrested for public intoxication on May 11, 2016 in the same area. She was again arrested to the same offense and transported to jail for booking.
