05/15 – Assault (Family Violence) – 300 block of Spring Branch Drive: At 2:29 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Two adults, a male and female who are co-habitants of the residence, had been in an argument. During the disturbance the male struck the female with his fists and choked her by the neck multiple times. The suspect also threatened to use a kitchen knife to injure her. The knife was still on the floor. The suspect left the residence in a vehicle with the victim chasing him down the street. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. The couple’s two year old child was also present during the assault. A warrant will be issued for the suspect’s arrest.
05/16 – Theft Under $100 – 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 2:00 p.m. a high school nurse reported to a school resource officer that person(s) unknown had removed several pills of prescription medication that were being kept in her office. The medication is for a current student and is provided by the student’s parents. The case is under investigation.
05/16 – Forged/Altered Prescription – 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:10 p.m. officers responded to a report of a male attempting to pass a forged prescription. The document was presented for fill and the pharmacist contacted the listed doctor to verify its validity. The doctor stated that they did not issue the prescription and the suspect was arrested on scene.
05/16 – Theft $30,000 to $150,000 – 300 block of Arthur Drive: An officer responded to a report by a victim that her adult son had stolen money and property belonging to her and her late husband. The victim reported that her husband died earlier this month and the son opened a safe and removed a large amount of cash. The suspect also took at least one vehicle belonging to the deceased and the victim. The vehicle was located at the suspect’s business in Mansfield.
05/16 - Theft $30,000 to $150,000 – 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:05 p.m. a store manager stated that a female suspect entered the store and began working as an employee. The suspect was dressed in full uniform and knew the store procedures but may not be an actual current company employee. The employee was observed on video taking a large amount of cash from the registers and safe, and fleeing from the store property to a waiting vehicle.
05/20 - Missing Juvenile – 200 block of 4th Street: At 1:05 p.m. a complainant reported that her juvenile grand-daughter had left school without permission. The juvenile returned home at 3:30 p.m. that same day.
05/21 – Missing Juvenile – 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue: At 1:00 p.m. a complainant reported that his juvenile son had left home without permission. The missing juvenile had an argument with the complainant (his father) earlier in the day over behavioral issues. The juvenile, who is adopted, may be trying to locate his birth mother.
05/21 – Assault by Threat – 6700 block of Hudson Village Creek Road: At 10:00 p.m. officers working at Kennedale Speedway Park observed a confrontation in progress. A male was threatening four individuals with an electronic Taser-type device. The male had confronted the group over a parking place and an argument ensued. The male was arrested for threatening the unarmed group
