8/28 - Driving While Intoxicated - 300 block Spring Branch Lane: At 2:14 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle stopped on the wrong side of the road. The vehicle was running and a 32 year old make was behind the wheel. The male was extremely disoriented and smelled of an alcoholic beverage. He was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment and was arrested for DWI. The male was transported to jail for booking, where he refused to give a breath sample. A blood draw warrant was obtained and the jail medical staff obtained the sample to place in evidence.

8/28 - Duty on Striking Fixture/ Landscape - 300 block W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:40 a.m. officers responded to a hit and run accident. A truck pulling a trailered race car had struck a utility pole and left the scene. The vehicle was located in a nearby neighborhood. The driver of the vehicle was a male who appeared to be intoxicated. After being interviewed by the officers, the male was placed under arrest for the hit and run as well as DWI and transported to jail for booking.

8/28 - Warrant Arrest for Other Agency - 1200 block W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:20 p.m. an officer observed an assault in progress on a parking lot. The male suspect attempted to leave and was detained by the officer. The victim, another male, had visible injuries but refused to press charges. The suspect had active arrest warrants out of Forest Hill and was taken to their jail for booking.

8/29 – Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information - 900 block Shady Creek Drive: At 11:29 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) opened a Pay Pal credit account in his name. The victim had no idea who opened the account. An identity theft packet was provided for completion.

8/29 - Burglary - 3800 block Kennedale New Hope Road: At 10:35 a.m. personnel with a business reported a burglary. Person(s) unknown had entered several office areas overnight and removed a safe, cash, and checks. Fingerprint evidence was left at the scene and was collected for investigators.

8/29 – Theft - $2,500 to $30,000 - 100 block Peachtree Court: At 2:30 p.m. a victim reported that his Volvo sedan was stolen by a known male suspect. The suspect reportedly left the vehicle with the keys in it off of Miller Street in Fort Worth. It was allegedly later stolen from that location. The vehicle was entered as stolen.

8/30 - Online Solicitation of a Minor - 400 block Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 1:26 p.m. a counselor and her juvenile client met an officer at the police department. The counselor stated that the victim made an outcry during a session about talking to an adult male through a smart phone messaging app. The male sent the victim numerous photos that were sexual in nature even though he knew she was a juvenile. A report was generated and investigators will follow up.

8/30 - Deadly Conduct - 400 block S. New Hope Road: At 7:41 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a person with a gun. The reporting person/victim stated that while at his ex-wife’s home picking up his child, the ex-wife’s boyfriend and the victim got into a verbal altercation. The boyfriend allegedly displayed a handgun but did not point it at the victim. Upon contacting the suspect at the residence no weapon was found. The suspect denied having a weapon but did state that he had a black vapor device in his hand, which may have been mistaken for a handgun.

8/31 - Abandoned/Found Property - 500 block Sublett Road: At 7:32 a.m. an officer observed an abandoned bicycle near the sidewalk. No owner could be located and the bike was impounded for safe keeping.

8/31 - Burglary - 7000 block E. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:15 a.m. an employee reported a business burglary. Person(s) unknown entered the office area after hours, and removed cash and an electronic tablet. No forced entry was observed and it is possible that the suspect(s) had a key.

8/31 – Vehicle Burglary - 1200 block W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:50 a.m. a victim reported that two unknown males had removed several hundred dollars in unsecured tools from the bed of his Ford work truck. The truck was parked outside of a business while the victim was inside. The suspects were photographed by a witness as they left. A license plate was observed in the photo. Investigators will follow up.

9/01 - Possession Marijuana < 2oz. - 1000 block Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 3:33 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver had multiple active arrest warrants out of both Dalworthington Gardens and Arlington. As he was being removed from the vehicle the officer smelled marijuana inside of the vehicle. Officers located marijuana and related paraphernalia in the vehicle. The driver was arrested for the narcotics as well as the warrants. He was transported to jail for booking.

9/01 - Assault against an Elderly or Disabled Individual - 200 block N. Sulphur Street: At 12:02 p.m. a female complainant reported the abuse of a mentally disabled adult living at a group home. The complainant stated that she was employed by Adult Protective Services but refused to provide any identifying information to the officer. After making the report the officer advised her that he would need a copy of her intake report, which has not been provided at this time.

9/01 - Death Investigation - 600 block Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 8:30 a.m. officers responded to an overdose involving a 21 year old female. The female was found unresponsive by family members and appeared to have taken an overdose of an unknown prescription drug. CPR efforts were unsuccessful. The victim was transported to a hospital but was pronounced deceased.

9/02 - Duty on Striking Unattended Vehicle - 1200 block W. Kennedale Parkway: At 3:31 p.m. a victim reported his vehicle was backed into by a vehicle driven by a male. The suspect left the scene without making a report. Several witnesses to the accident were available for interview.

9/02 - Burglary - 200 block Village Street: At 7:40 p.m. a victim reported that a storage building at the KYA Park was broken into. Unknown person(s) removed sports equipment.

9/03 - Aggravated Robbery - 6800 block Oak Crest Drive E.: At 12:13 a.m. a victim reported that two males had entered his home while he was sleeping. One of the males held a knife to the victim and threatened him over a previous incident with the suspect’s sister. The suspect then took the victim’s cell phone and left. The suspect was known to the victim as well as the officers on scene. The suspect was located nearby approximately one hour later and was arrested for the offense. He was transported to jail but was acting very erratically. Officers were called to respond back to the jail to transport the suspect to JPS for treatment. The suspect had injured himself by running into the wall of his cell until he bled. The suspect had apparently ingested both methamphetamine and GHB before being stopped and arrested. His erratic behavior was possibly triggered by this, according to jail medical personnel. The suspect was taken to JPS for an emergency mental detention and released to their custody.
