12/21 - Theft Under $100 - 200 block of W. 5th Street: At 11:20
a.m. a victim reported the theft of Christmas yard lights. The lights were
removed during the overnight hours.
12/21 - Theft $100 to $750 - 200 block of W. Broadway Street: At 2:25 p.m.
a victim reported the theft of two boxes from her front porch. The boxes
contained Christmas gifts ordered on-line and shipped to the victim’s address.
The boxes were left at the front porch during the day but were missing when the
victim checked later in the afternoon.
12/24 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 100 block of Peachtree
Court: At 5:46 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female was
very loud and belligerent as the officers arrived. The female claimed that her
husband, who was standing calmly, had assaulted her by hitting her with his
vehicle. The female exhibited no injuries and had no witnesses to the alleged
assault. The female did appear to be intoxicated. The husband and wife had been
in an argument for much of the day. A written statement was taken from the
husband and, due to her intoxicated condition, the wife was placed in the
custody of family members who arrived on scene.
12/20 - Possession Control Substance - 100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway:
At 12:01 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The
female driver and male passenger were fidgety and appeared very nervous. Upon
approaching the vehicle the officer smelled the odor of burned marijuana. A
search of the vehicle and the driver revealed several pills of Alprazolam as
well as methamphetamine. The passenger was wanted for multiple warrants out of
two cities and was in possession of marijuana. Both occupants were taken into
custody for transport to jail.
12/24 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At
11:28 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious person complaint at McDonald’s.
Two males were on the property and would not leave. One male was located next
to a vehicle that was stolen from Fort Worth. The male denied knowing anything about
the vehicle and stated that his friend had been present earlier but left. The
other male was located in Forest Hill and brought to the scene. Both make gave
conflicting stories but could not be placed in the vehicle. They were released
at the scene and the vehicle was impounded.
